This dude just contradicts himself.

Character and attitude are an issue for Claypool but not for Carter.

Character and attitude is a problem but when a team disciplines a player (Jenkins) to get them in line it is a problem.

So it sounds like he wants guys with character issues that he likes and doesnt want the team to make any effort to fix those issues for players he likes.
Carter's character concerns are overblown media reports just like they were for Burfict Tunsill Sapp and Moss.

If Carter had massive character concerns he would have been indicted for worse charges.

What you saw was a masterful play in the media to get him to fall a play in the media that cost his original agent to be fired.

You think Rosenhaus puts his reputation on the line like he did if he didn't know more than the media?

I agree with Remy. Coaches and players went out of their way to praise Claypool prior to him being injured.

It's possible that people on the staff are frustrated with him missing needed practice due to injury but I'm not putting anything into the rest of his comment.

I heard Rosenhaus didn't care as long as he got paid. He didn't even care if someone online harassed his daughter!

I also saw in other posts he references a son.

I'm pretty sure no woman would be desperate enough to let a guy who has the genetics that he has to spawn 2 children....

These could all be fake news lies. I actually have an acquaintance from high school who goes around lying about a fake exwife and kids so he seems less like a loser. May be the case here.

I think Claypool wants to be more of a social media influencer than a football player. It's what worries me about him. Seems like a nice dude and chill teammate, but not sure he has the drive and willpower to want to be great.

Dude couldn't even show up to his pro-day and get through a workout.

Character isn't just run-ins with the law. It's whether or not this guy wants to work on his game, show up for his teammates, listen to his coaches, put in the maximum effort and so on. I don't get any of that from him. Like I said, he's got Eddy Curry vibes. He's got enough talent to be a decent player on that alone but i'd rather take Darnell Wright, who's got elite size and athleticism while passing a rigorous workout with the Bears with flying colors... then take a guy with the same level of physical upside as Carter in Gervon Dexter in the 2nd round.

For being as dominant as Jalen Carter is supposed to be, you'd think it would have shown up in the box score a little more. Here's some quick stats compared to other top 10 DTs:
  • Jalen Carter: 35 games, 83 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 0 INTs, 2 forced fumbles
  • Jonathan Allen: 50 games, 152 tackles, 44.5 tackles for loss, 28 sacks, 1 INT, 3 forced fumbles
  • Quinnen Williams: 24 games, 91 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, 0 INTs, 0 forced fumbles
  • Ed Oliver: 30 games, 192 tackles, 53 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 0 INTs, 5 forced fumbles
  • Derrick Brown: 44 games, 170 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, 0 INTs, 5 forced fumbles
  • Leonard Williams: 39 games, 218 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, 20 sacks, 2 INTs, 4 forced fumbles
And for fun:
  • Gervon Dexter: 36 games, 125 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 2 INTs, 0 forced fumbles, 0 character concerns

Right so they are overblown for Carter but not Claypool. You are so full of shit.

And what do you mean he would be indicted on worse charges? He wasnt charged with poor character dummy. He was charged for reckless driving.

Claypool has a track record in the NFL and the Steelers gave up on him. You think that's the same thing? Three years in the NFL versus coming out of college? Are you shitting me?

You have been on a bender about getting your hot takes onto ccs if not onto any media outlets for almost a week. You have even been posting at 4 am. Maybe time to take a breather and check on your kids?

There's a guy on YouTube named "Swift Sports" and he covers the Bears. He's a homer but he's doing All-22 breakdowns on all the draft picks where he watches every All-22 snap of a guys' college career (or so he says). The one on Dexter was over an hour long and was pretty fascinating. I watched the whole thing. There's lots to like.
I like Swifty too. I think he gives honest breakdowns though maybe just a tad on the rosy side. Still fun to listen to IMO.

The said the same shit after Vontaze Burfict's NFL combine workout and pro day and he turned out okay. Some guys can just play, Claypool has never been a guy who can just play. Plus the complexities of an offense require Claypool to work harder, wouldn't you agree?
VONTAZE BURFICT!

What track record? Can you link to actual reports from actual named individuals?

And correct it isnt the same thing. Claypool's character issues didnt help kill two people.

Still kind of a lot of here say if you ask me. Flus did not sound concerned. Fields said he’s seen growth and was impressed with him. It’s the off season so stuff like this is juicy. As a rookie he had almost 900 yards and 9 TDs. I somehow doubt he’s less mature now than he was as a 22 year old. We’ll see what happens during the season.

It's almost like its the dead of summer and Silvy needed to drum up some drama for clicks and listens...

Really he forgets it is all about team and in the being about having younger rookie players especially look up to you. He needs to put up or shut up.

And here we both are, on a Chicago Bears board, in June. "They"? I have met the enemy, and it is I.
Something like that. I’m not buying into the doom and worry they’re selling, but sure, I’m invested in this team.

hey, me neither, esp since the doomsayer in question tried and failed to get paid doing it from his gamer chair
