And these Kirk hypothetical trades.

He isn't waiving his clause. Kirk isn't getting traded. Like him or hate him, he's stuck here and that includes adding players that fill his position. Something about holding your breath until turning blue.

nobody was suggesting kirk be involved in any trade

im only messing around (note the troll similes) i don't even know how good Dragic is or isn't on defense tbh

Kirk in a 15 minute role would be good...his shortcomings wouldn't be as glaring

but i have to admit it'll be a great day when he retires....we'll finally be done with the Hinrich era

My question is...

Why have the Suns been trying to trade Dragic for two years, when he's been their best player?

Two schools of thought:

1. Know he's a system guy. Over valued on the market. Trying to trick a team.

2. They know he's going to command more money than they want to give him. Want to get something before he leaves for free

And these are fair arguments. Also reasons why we should not be interested IMO. Just a reminder to some(not you), a reason doesn't always mean a deal-breaker.

He's been on the block for a long time, not just on the Suns. Something is fishy here. Dragic has some issue that no one has accounted for, locker room creep, head case, wants to pull a Rudy Fernandez and leave the NBA ASAP, hiding a permanent injury, etc. I don't know what it is, but I think there is more to it.

well the injury would be found in the trade physical

locker room cancer? ehhhh you would think you would hear something about that this day and age

i think its they don't think he'll resign or he'll cost to much (and thats why we wont trade for him)

goran dragic has 2 years left on his contract so worrying about him re signing isn't important as of right now

Dragic is playing 33+ minutes a game for them. I know there are rumors, but there are also "reporters" who will do anything for hits. I am not sure he is actually on the move.

He has value so I am sure his name comes up in talks and he is not untradeable type of player. He may get dealt, but I doubt it is a for gone conclusion that he is on the move.

he can opt-out and will most likely do so

good to know....then yes he will do that, his market value is higher than his 7.5 mil salary currently. but the fact he can opt out and get a big contract is a big reason why nobody will give up much to make a trade for him(especially the bulls who have to resign butler in the offseason already)

If this is true, the Bulls better jump on it. I'd do it even if it took picks plus Taj Gibson.

I don't know. I'd try like hell to sell them on the picks and Dunleavy. Gibson is a warrior.
