Wouldn't Dragic start and Dun go to the bench?

Dunleavy is pretty much first in line to go to the bench if this team makes any trades for a starter.

Apparently Dragic is off the block. The Suns used him to open up talks and slip Isaiah Thomas into deals instead, with no intention of trading Dragic or a number of different players.

 Suns know how to sucker the gullible into a few conversations. Even though it hasn't gotten them a trade, yet.

Yeah, except they weren't getting takers on Isaiah Thomas when he was in rumors earlier in the season.

and your point is?? if anything thatd make them more likely to trade dragic if they don't have any takers on thomas

Why would they likely trade away the guy they want to keep if they don't have takers? He doesn't have a bad contract, which was frontloaded to make it easier down the line.

Or just look at the post that was quoted in your response.

your post didn't make much sense, was trying to be nice about it. if you are asking why would they trade dragic if he is the guy they want to keep? the answer is because you claimed that there are no takers for Thomas and dragic will be a free agent at the end of this year so if Thomas and Bledsoe are on the roster for sure, then there is no room to sign dragic in the offseason

Well thank you for trying to be nice? It made perfect sense. I said there were no takers for Thomas (just a few posts above, http://www.chicitysports.com/forum/...-1st-rounder?p=2039121&viewfull=1#post2039121)
Then you said that is why they would likely trade Dragic. But Dragic is not on the block any more and Thomas is. Who is also the player who has not had any takers(not confusing, as Thomas is the only player that I refereed to without takers). If that doesn't make sense to you, then I'm not sure what will, especially seeing how all of the responses were replied to consecutively. It's not hard to follow.

poorly worded is how...like I said use names when discussing multiple players instead of just saying "the player" or what not. but I digress...

so youre saying that dragic isn't available for trade but Thomas is, even though Thomas has no takers? so again to my point of why they would trade dragic if there are truly no takers for Thomas is that they cannot resign dragic in the offseason if Thomas and Bledsoe are both still on the roster. since you claim Thomas has no takers and Bledsoe is in their long term plans, tell me why they would let dragic walk in the offseason and get nothing in return for him?? :obama:

An aid for broken short term memories.

I never said he(Thomas, using names, so you don't accuse me of mixing information, despite you(knoxville7) providing the exact context to what he(Thomas) would be) had takers. I will clarify one last time. Because Thomas didn't have takers, the Suns used Dragic(with no intentions of trading or "letting walk") to get other teams to talk, but switched Dragic for Thomas in talks. Also known as a bait and switch.

but if Thomas has no takers then he wont get traded correct? my point all along has been that either dragic or Thomas have to go either this trade deadline or in the offseason. if Thomas has no takers(as you claim) then it only makes sense that dragic is the odd man out and that the suns would be better off trading him now and getting value in return as opposed to letting him walk in free agency. if you cant see that logic then we are done here

Just because something doesn't happen now, doesn't mean it does or doesn't happen in the future. Much like a person owning a car now, and buying another in the future. The motive and landscape changes over time. Just because a team feels no interest at this time to make a trade for a point guard, that doesn't mean they do not change their mind for a number of reasons(injuries, playoff push, future problems in the locker-room, and whatever else I'm forgetting to mention that may lead to a team changing plans).

WTF kind of logic is that? :smh: Just cuz they're trying everything they can to try to trade a player doesn't mean they're forced to trade someone else they don't want to. :dunno:

if the options are trading him for value now or letting him walk in free agency in a few months for nothing then yes you trade him. now if you can move somebody like Thomas to free up the cap room and roster space to re sign dragic then go for it

Ask the Suns, because this is what they are doing, according to reports.
