The biggest things I didnt like about last nite's game -

The Dmen - once again - letting Dallas forwards between them, and the net. On that first PP goal, Erickson was open enough in the slot to take a rebound shot, then Morrow open enough to bang in the rebound - while Keith and Seabrook merely threw their sticks at them. No body to body play. I think Hjarlmarsson as well on the second goal, again, didnt have position.

But....the worse, was that dickwad Burish on Crawford - and none of the Hawks pulled him off. Zip. A few pokes here and there...thats it. As much as everyone hates Boynton, he's the only Hawk that regularly sticks up for teammates for shit like that. Even if he goes overboard, I'd rather have that then everyone standing around watching. I was pretty embarassed by the Hawks on that play.

Something I dont get/notice about Bickell...it seems he never takes more than 2/3 strides anywhere he goes. Takes a few strides...and thats it. No "power" or purpose when skating, either with or without the puck.

I'd like to see the Hawks try to get Langenbrunner. Not sure how they'd fit him/what it would take...but a guy like him would bring some grit, leadership to a forward group/team that needs it right now.

Well, your glass usually has enough Koolaid to make up for anything I lack so it's all good.

.600 hockey is a leap from the way they have played as of late, but (I sound like a broken record) this homestand is their chance to right the ship.

Need to with 5 of the next eight to keep pace. There are a couple of marshmallows coming up.

Time to start getting fat.

Thats a load of crock and shows just how perceptive you really are. You are a whiner. You have always been a whiner.

I wouldnt call the Islanders Marshmellow either. If you actually paid attention you'd realize they are 5-0-1 in their last six games.

Really? And where is your perfect world?

A site where posters muse over the achievements of Jack Skille and Nick Boynton?

You know, it's OK to be critical of the Hawks.

It's been a huge letdown this season, and the criticism is valid.

No..just not one that bitches and moans to the highest levels since day 1. Every team has ups/downs...but the extremes are ridiculous.

And yep - I'm not one to ***** about 500K players - ones that took pay cuts - to play minimum roles on the team. While some guys that have larger contracts have been playing well under standards. Those are the players that fail more, but since people wear their jerseys to games, they get a free pass.

Critical and idiotic are two different things.

Consider the source.

82 games long. After it's over let me know.

If people really believe the season's over, then why watch or simply come here to continue to say its over? Why waste your time?

Usually come april/may...when the cubs are done, I dont waste my time watching them...or going to the team site to tell everyone how their season is over, claim to be a fan - yet ***** about them at game 82....especially if they were in the middle of the pack.

It's tough enough defending the Hawks as "my team" to non-Hawk fans....yet it seems you have to do it here too.

It's been a frustrating season for sure - everytime we think we see signs of the brilliance of last year and go on a little run we then regress. Intensity is not there, and there's a lack of mental focus. Seabrook losing the puck at center ice in the beginning of the 3rd last night really ticked me off. He got quite a few boos on that one not to mention his disparate play on the PK. Him and Keith - what the hell happened? How do you go from being so damn good to pretty fucking lousy so quickly? Frustrating as hell.

I didn't hear any booing until after the game was over. You get "ticked" pretty easy.

I was more mad at Hossa not playing Richards that actually caused a goal? Or Hammer scoring on his own goalie for the game winning goal. I usually get mad at plays that end up in the back of the net, rather than something that doesn't effect the out come either way.

Or the Coach pulling the goalie which ultimately sealed the deal. Far sooner than the goalie should have actually been pulled.

But hey what ever floats your boat. Good thing you didn't breath on me though I'd have had to have my wife kick your ass. I don't hit girls.

It's not exclusive to this site. I had to un friend a few on FB just because I couldn't handle reading their whining any longer. It's like a bunch of fucking girls. No bad will to the girls here as our IHN girls are a pretty good bunch of fans. Hardly ever whine like some of the "other" girls....

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
As far as I'm concerned, The regular season is not over until we're mathematically eliminated, Secured a playoff spot, or all 82 games have been played. It's no where close to being over and we can still go on a tear, or Allah forbid, implode.

Some thing I pulled:

If Eddie-O and Foley are to be taken at face value, Get Kane off the team until he heals. From the sound of it, he's not ready to go yet.

If Leddy and Morin are possibly going to get another shot at D, then please, please, please, give Keith some pressbox duty. He's been playing like shit on a hotplate and the worst that can happen is we lose...which is happening quite often. Hopefully that will give him the rectal-craniectomy he needs.

Rant off.

Kanes injury is the type that will linger for months. Sitting him will not heal it any faster. AKA Crosby skated with it when he returned the rest of the season. Just the way high ankle sprains are. And with Kane on a line with Bolland and Pisani I'm not sure what the two idiots in the booth expect from him.

Morin is a forward so he better not play D. Although with Coach "MIX A LINE OUT OF HIS ASS" who knows, maybe Morin will be put back on D.

LOL

Well that's just dumb.... I've been a fan through far worse. I barely missed a game on TV in 02-10, so why would I stop now just because they are sucking again. They are not playing well. Period, you can't dispute that, if people pointing that out is = to whining, then people with their head in their clouds about winning the cup with this team is = verbal *******.

If your car sucks, do you stop driving it?

Absolutely. He was VERY slow out there last night, didn't move well, not adding any value at this point. Let him heal.

Pointing it out constructively is one thing. Crying it a completely different.

They are half way through, 2pts out of a playoff spot. We are going to miss the playoffs??
