It was a weak draft.

I wouldn't call it a weak draft as about 16 players in the first round are in the NHL.

1999 would be a weak draft year.

Skille was ranked #13 by ISS his draft year. His scouting report was he had the potential to be a "poor mans" Bill Guerin.

again ask him what Brouwer did in the AHL then compare those stats to the NHL.

Good post alright!

Kane has 96 shots and 11 goals. 6.3 mil.

Kopecky has 79 shots and 3 goals.....

Funny how stats work. I suggest some do more research before posting.

LOL

I've been thinking Kane needs to kick his ass in gear and start producing more. He's been a -5 the last 4 games and only has 2 points...

No doubt his ankle is acting up. He's set three players up the past two games only to have them flub the shot. Bolland in the last game. I think he needs to shoot more too.

I was just using him as an example. The - doesnt bother me much just as Sharp has 23 goals and is -9.

Skille is what he is. Bust as a first round pick, maybe. He's not playing the role of a first round pick though nor is he being paid as one.

Brouwer literally tore up Norfolk and Rockford. What did he do in his first NHL year, NOTHING. Last year was he a product of who he was playing with or is he growing into the NHL? Not sure yet as his numbers are down again this year so far.

Not all first round picks pan out. But for a first round pick to take a 500k pay cut, bust his has on the 3rd and 4th line and be on pace for 12-15 goals, who the **** should be unhappy? It makes absolutely no sense other than those that either have HATE, IHF, or those that don't know what they are talking about in Fluff.

Out of 30. So half panned out. How many are "great" players? 4? The percentage then comes down more. Just because you are drafted in the top 10 does not make you a star or even give you a better shot at it.

Ask Detroit with Zetterbergh and or Datsyk.

Use Turris as an example. 3rd over all. He has 6 goals in 30 games. OK... His shooting percentage is slightly over Skille..

Skille---39 GP 6goal 8ast 14pts, +3

Turris--30 GP 6goals 5ast 11pts - 1

I rest my case.

My difference with RK is this;

I dislike Jack for what he is not, RK likes him for what he is.

Can you just get hit by a bus or something.

I am not a huge Skille fan. Never have been. But UNLIKE YOU I know the game of hockey. Played it most of my life and have been to over 1000 NHL games in my life time.

Could be. I always though more was expected from him than what he can deliver. I'm not sure 39 games in his first full NHL season is enough to give up on him though.

Espcially knowing what he did to have a chance to play for this team. Character goes a long way with me.

You called that move character. I called it as a must do to get a consideration, in other words protecting

his career.

Wow, that's deep. I guess I also dislike Boynton for what he is not (i.e., good). Or maybe I dislike him for what he is (i.e., bad). I think my head is spinning now. I might blow up like one of Harry Mudd's androids.

I guess its better to be easily forgotten rather than clawing your way into the NHL.

I would hate to see Skille scoring 20-25 goals a year in another sweater, people need to start cutting the rookie some slack. Hes 23 years old for **** sakes.
