I suppose Q is sitting Skille because of his dumbass play that led to the breakaway goal Monday night. Other than that, I can't imagine why he'd be sitting. If he'd been consistently bad Monday, I wouldn't have a problem with sitting him. But if it's for one bad play, I don't agree with it...

I don't think so. I think there is more going on than anyone outside the organization knows.

I know NOTHING!

Hahah... well not that you know anyone or anything but sometimes you happen to stumble upon the right answer before anyone else knows.

We had another guy like that once named Vrbata. He seems to do pretty well now.

I am not saying he sucks or anything but just feel that is his weakest point. I like Jack, I like any hard working hockey players.

I believe Ott took out Sharp with a blatant knee on knee two years ago or was that Kane? Ott is a cheapshot artist but like you said there's a lot of guys on the team that could handle him.

People are so hilarious about Scott... he's done nothing but improve all season and has actually looked good the last 5 games or so he's played. Especially for 500K... oh well, haters gonna hate for no reason.

But scratching Skille for Scott? PUHLEAZE.

Ott took out Sharp and we failed to take out Ott's head. Fucking hate that guy, him and Richards should run into each other on the ice

Let's see here:

Skille - 1st round pick and 7TH OVERALL!!

Bickell - 41st pick overall

Dowell - 140th pick overall

Crawford - 52nd pick overall

Sorry - but I expect a lot more from a 1st round pick taken 7th overall. He couldn't find a starting position for 4 years??? That speaks volumes about him not living up to his draft pick potential. I'm not giving him any slack at this point.

This fucking argument again....everyone just get over it that he was 7th overall. Turris was what 3rd (I'm guessing) overall and is playing in the minors. Either Datysuk or Zetterberg was taken in the 7th round that means they are supposed to suck, god damn them for not following the script.

Buff was a 7th rounder that was overweight and last I heard (about a month ago) led Dmen in score and was in Norris talks, **** him for not following the script.

So what Skille isn't a rockstar. Also he probably would have played last year but oh yeah we were fucking STACKED.

and if you compare Skille's first season to say Brouwers, I think he gets some slack.

I do believe he'll be traded though. Just a feeling.

Gotta give the guy credit. He could have gotten near a mil somewhere else and took a 500k pay cut to play here. That says something about character.

Spot on.

Skille should be in the line up, he works hard every shift and I think he will develop to a fine 3rd line player.

Im not comparing, but guys like Sharp and Versteeg also had slow starts of there NHL adventure. So for only 0,5 mil I think we should give him at least one season before we ship him away for some Elison guy...

I think Turris has been with the big club all year. There was a rumor that Jokinen was fucking with him in his rookie season so they sent him down.

None the less it's a good example of a player taken in the top 20 with far more hype than skille, just taking longer to develop.

Thank god we didn't listen to HF50 and pick Turris over Kane.

and as far as skille what idiot would complain about him? He makes the league minimum and is RIGHT THERE in numbers to what the guys on this team on the FOURTH LINE did last year.

Infact I'd take him over Eager, Fraser and Burrish right now. Especially at 500k! And I'm not a huge fan of Skille either.

Also don't pop an annurism, remember who you are replying too. Consider the source...!

Skille has tried hard this season, no doubt.

His draft position carries certain expectations, however, that can't be ignored.

First round picks are expected to have a higher upside.

Jack hasn't shown that and likely won't get a chance long-term to do so with the Hawks.

See Cam Barker...

Versteeg was a huge puck hog. Had a great shot but his on ice decision were often fucked. I can recall many times he lost the puck while the other team skated down and put it in our net.

Barker was different. Takes Dmen longer to develop and add the Hawks rushed him due to tweedle dee and dumb. Although he's still not playing well in Minny so I guess the comparrison could be made.

He did not take a huge pay cut to stay.

But an Annurism will get me out of work. As for Turris I had been going off what has been previously said on these boards albeit a long time ago

Barker for Norris. I actually liked Barker but the year we got rid of him he looked like crap. I was sold on Barker when he dropped the gloves with the guy that bumped Bulin. Poor guy though Bulin caused it but Barker didn't hesitate, hell he got the next game off as a gift from the instigator rule because of it too

Nor should he be given any slack. Some questioned why he was benched for the game last week. Knowing him and

his primadonna ways it would not surprise me if Q benched him to make a point. He has never performed anything

like a first rounder especially 7th.

Again for 500k per year playing on the 3rd line I'm not sure what you expect. Although YOU are known as a SKILLE hater so it's no surprise.

For what he's making and where he's playing, he's most certainly holding his end of the bargain up at this point. Without question. Now if he was making 3 mil playing on the top line, maybe you'd have a leg to stand on.

FYI he was scratched last week because he was part of a trade that fell through.

How's Crawford working out for you?

Probably because Johnson > Dowell

And to cause confusion:

Madden = Johnson

Fraser = Dowell

Madden > Fraser

Therefore, Johnson > Dowell

They've lacked a guy like Madden all year, my bet is Johnson was signed to replace him and Dowell is just the odd man out similar to Fraser last year, despite playing decently.

Kevin Bacon?

Is it a matter of his draft position going to his head?

He seems like he works hard, but maybe it's just a matter of all show, no go?

He reminds me of Ken Yaremchuk. Wheels and nothing else.
