Well, it seems you rile people up in every thread - for your amusement or not. And then to drop you're depressed because a family memeber is sick...is kind of shady.

I'd step away from confrontational discussion rather than throw something out like that. But what do I know.

For the rest of the Hawk fans....grab a beer like STU here...and enjoy the Hawks!!

Better grab a beer with some of the odd things Q did with the lines again.

Isn't Kane playing left-wing tonight?

LMAO....STU, is that the look on your face, when you saw Scott start to fight last week? Such happiness.....joy....

I think so....Kane - Kopecky - Hossa is what was "reported"

And Q's playoff machine (11 out of 12 years)....so I'll trust him to take them there again.

I actually laughed at that.

Seabrook Camo Jersey tonight. First game I've ever worn it too. Better get a W, or it will be the last!

I'll take it, you dont want it.

LOL Differ from some people... as in everyone. He's normal, everyone else is just weird.

Yes I am. And if you or anyone tries to insinuate that I'm normal, I'll slather you up in pureed lutefisk and sic an overly-friendly St. Bernard on you.

I heard that if todays line-up fails halfway through the first period, Q will throw out these lines:

Forwards:

Cullimore/Used Sock/Hendry

Pickle/Bickell/Toews

Kane/Dowell/Pisani

Hossa/Bolland/Keith

Defenseman:

Scott/Water Boy

Traffic Cone/Turco

Hjalmarsson/Crawford

Goalie:

Jako

Rumor has it, nobody truly knows how the "sock" was "used".

Well Turco and Crawford would block a lot of shots...

Liked the effort from our 3rd and 4thers tonight esp Skille who was all over the place. Kane hate to say it looked freaking lazy a few plays where he stopped skating to admire his passes. I freaking HATE when players do that. He is also once again making some piss poor shot selections. Whatever. He isn't the only guy.

Another frustrating 1 goal game and giving 2 goals away in a 2 minute span. It is not acceptable. Otherwise it wasn't an overly horrible game from the boys. Gotta find that finish 36 shots on net and 1 goal? And frankly I dont think Lebarby played all that well. Lot of those shots were right on him or wiffs or just flat out easy saves. Not many bodies going to the dirty areas..besides SKILLE. Again if you ask me he is earning more minutes out there. Showing lots of willingness and work ethic.

Thought Campbell was certainly going to get on the scoreboard tonight. Besides the one play where he got tangled up on his own skates I thought he was skating really well. Thought Sharp was going to also after watching him skate his ass off the 1st period. Then enter the 2nd period and Sharp disapeared. ???????

Just another weird game. Frustrating frustrating frustrating.

The Committed Indian said it best: You have letters on your jerseys for a reason: START FUCKING LEADING!!!!

Keith and Sharp were a joke again. A well deserved benching.

Toews keeps busting his ass, but how aboot busting the twine?

Kane and Hossa need to get goals.

NONE of the excuses that I've heard presented are worth shit.

Time for some Beach or Makarov to add life to this dead-ass team.

Speaking of life... I think it's time Beach gets his shot... he has played increasingly better this season as games go by and I think IHF could attest to that.

****... last night:

Beach: 1G 2A 2 Fights (although he had his ass handed to him in one).

EDIT: For those wanting to read the novel that is the penalty log for the game, here is the boxscore for the Hogs/Rivermen game last night:

The thing that sucks the most about tonight's game is that Espo still cannot be a winner of the Black Forest Gummies game. Tragedy!

It would be nice if they gave out style points, huh? Unfortunately for us, this isn't Olympic diving. Skille has to bury his chances and he had the best scoring chance of the entire game when he couldn't convert from in close in the slot. Unfortunately, that's the story of his career so far.

Don't get me wrong, love the effort and the hard work, but until he starts burying some of those chances, I don't believe he deserves more ice time.

However, I do think this team needs some new blood and would not mind seeing some of the Rockford guys get a call up to see what they can do.

Jaekel?

IMO Skille was the best Hawk on the ice tonight. Hes not making money to carry this team, hes making money to spark the big guns... so far he has sent the message and they haven't responded. That's the way I see it.

Agree he has to bury his chances but at least he is getting them. Can't say that about everyone on the team. Can't even begin to think about burying chances if you aren't getting chances to begin with. OMG that souded dumb..pretend I never spoke.

Skille is creating his own chances with his hard work. Funny how that is usually the case. Instead of standing still admiring his passes like a couple guys have been doing lately
<
. Skille keeps his legs moving.

Haven't we been trying the revolving door of AHL guys already? New blood? 50% of this team is already new blood and you want more? lol. I know what you mean. Don't think it's going to make that much of a difference though. Kane/Toews/Hossa/Sharp have to start scoring more. Supporting cast has to finish their chances and Keith needs to stop bobbling the puck at the blueline and getting beat down low. Don't think AHL guys are going to help with that.

Just frustarating losing 1 goal games all the time and letting the opponent score 2 fast ones on you that appear to just kill this team. Nice effort tonight though I guess. I GUESS. I can't tell anymore if it's lack of effort or what it is. Never seen so many 1 goal loses in such a short time span and so many games where a team has let the opposition score 2 goals in a quick fashion like the Hawks have been. Maybe that's just bad luck? No idea.

Thought Skille played a great game and sure he had some great opportunities that he didn't capitalize on but at least he CREATED the opportunities with hard work and getting involved in the play, which you can't say for about 3/4 of the team tonight.

I've noticed this, but when the opposition is coming into the Hawks zone on the attack, our defensemen are positioning themselves so that incoming attacker takes the middle of the ice. I was always taught that you force them to the boards as they have lesser net to shoot on and a worse odds to score. Seabs was the worst at it tonight and gave away a lot of chances for the middle of the zone.

Just checked the box score and noticed that Keith was in the lineup.

Turco let in a softy with the slapper.

I did notice this more considering it was a live game and you can see the entire ice compared to a broadcast, but Kane and Toews take a lot of wacks and are pushed around a lot. I'll give them credit that they take their licks and keep going as if nothing happened.

The whole team took shifts off tonight when they really should have buried the 'yotes. I have to think that Q is losing his mind, but then again calling a time out after the 'yotes iced the puck and had a tired line out there kind of through me for a loop. I figured you go to your secondary players who have stamina like Sharpie, Kopecky, Brouwer, then take a time out and lose the advantage. Then again, there's a good reason why I'm up in the stands and not on the bench!

out of the entire game all you can do is bash the guy who was putting the most effort on the ice.

Why don't you call out the vet boynton who fucking caused both goals against?

or the 6 million $$ Captain who has 1 goal in 8 games.

Or the 6 million $$ Kane who is like wise....

Or the 6 million $$ Hossa who has done nothing since his return...

Or the Norris trophy winner who was on the ice for both goals against. Even though they were both Boynton.

Or the SC winning coach who pulls lines straight from his ass, and puts them on the ice. The line combo's tonight were fucked and he kept fucking them the entire game.

But no, you pop on to ***** about a fucking 3rd line player.

DOH!!!!
