And much like Kane, Kovy has been slow.

On one hand, losing Parise for them hurts. bad.

On the other hand, it could be just our luck that they both get smoking hot for this game.

That being said, I still cannot come up with any reason why we should lose this game. If we do lose, It will likely be a deficincy on our part rather than playing the lights out and geting stoned.

If that last sentence, that mindset, that could lose us this game.

When Edmonton came to town last week, they had only won 2 of their past 28 road games and they kicked the shit out of us. Anything can happen in 60 minutes if you don't play hard every shift.

I'm not taking the Devils lightly in this one, not after what I saw last week, and the fact that despite playing a good game on Monday, we lost to a Rangers team missing Gaborik and Drury.

Yeah, that fourth line is atrocious, but has anyone watched NJ this year? Talk about garbage on ice.

Yeah I'm actually rooting against them since they did the big Kovie signing. Love to see them fall on their face and be 'trapped' by that contract for years. Serves them right.

The Devils are a hot mess right now. If the Hawks lose tonight, at home, to that team, well, let's just say I'm going to start to worry.

Im confident with this one. I have seen vast improvements with the Hawks the last couple games. Rangers game was a game where the better team should have won but did not. That happens when you run into a hot goalie. Only way the Hawks lose tonight is if Marty stands on his head. Which he could but unless the devils roll back ans start playing the trap heavy game again...Marty's going to be very busy tonight. I think Q will have the blueliners pinch in a lot tonight. I'm watching for Keith to have a very very strong game on the offensive end and won't be shocked to see Seabs getting a lot of chances. Hawks should be able to pressure the Devils ll night long. Puck control in this one like all games will be the key.

We will see.

...and when the oil came to town, this team played like shit on a hotplate. That's what I'm getting at. With the way NJ has been playing, I see the chances of Kovie exploding into an offensive force and Brodeur regaining form as less of a reason we'd lose as opposed to team failing to show up and playing down to them.

In other words, I see the likelyhood of us losing this game is more than the likleyhood of NJ wining this game; i.e we lost to Edmonton, Lundqvist and the Rangers beat us.

As such, if the team--the entire shows up and plays hard, we shouldn't have a reason to lose, and if Brodeur shows up and stones us, I'll take an extra helping of crow.

I hope we freakin win this game 8-7... Zajac and Langenbrunner with 7 point nights... that'd make my fantasy team happy and make my Blackhawk tingle.

So Q apparently wants more defense out of the forwards, which is a reason he is dressing the fourth line that he is dressing. Well, they aren't going to generate any offense, that's for sure...

Eat your words, Pez. The 4th line has spent as much if not more time in their zone than any of our other lines.

Well the offense started clicking after Fatso got knocked out of the game. Hedberg still made some incredible plays as well as guys like Skille not finishing IE going with a toe-drag when Hedberg is face first on his belly.

The thing that concerns me with this team is not that they're losing but that they're losing so many games that were winnable and costly mistakes are the reason they lost, not good play by the opposition.
