The fourth line was a joke PRIOR to the opening face-off. Their play just validated things.

Q sure did hem and haw when asked by Tim Sassone why they were on the ice.

They didn't lose the game, that's for sure. But their chances of helping the Hawks tonight was less than zero.

Yet we sent two forwards to the minors.

Dumb fucking move by Quenneville. Embarrassingly dumb.

Them not losing the game is arguable. Hendry and Scott were both out for a pretty big goal against tonight(hard to do, playing three fucking minutes). Dressing those guys also forced us to play Toews, Kane, Sharp, etc., more than usual. Having Hendry up at forward also left us with Cullimore and Boynton as our third pairing...and they sucked too. Which, forced Q to, once again, trot Dunc out there for 30 minutes. Domino effect, imo.

I don't understand where I'm being doom and gloom, or standing on the ledge, to be honest. The team needs to play better, period. The roster needs to get better, period. We aren't winning shit with Scott and Hendry flanking Pisani on the fourth line. Will anyone actually argue against that?
<
Obviously things will improve once Hossa and Bolland come back, but, the guys that WON'T be in the pressbox when that happens, need to step up their play. Sharp, Kane, Toews, Kopecky, pretty much everyone that won the cup, is underperforming. Keith and Seabs start playing better, and our core forwards stop playing...
<

I wouldn't necessarily put Sharp on that list, but you're correct.

Kane was terrible tonight. Toews had a 15 foot shot from the slot that he wouldn't take.

I could give a rat's ass how good he is with faceoffs.

They need to score goals. Seven goals combined in 15 games is a fucking joke.

I don't worry that this will continue all season. But it sure does suck ass now.

All valid points.

They should have NEVER been in the lineup.

Playing defensemen at forward, for the most part, is dumb fucking shit that frankly looks panicky.

I really wish we would get rid of Cullimore and Scott! Those two SUCK BALLS!!!!!

It will be nice to have Hossa and Bolland back (whenever that happens). This team is out of balance. At least the new fill ins are trying to make a go of it. You gotta love the effort from Skille, Stahlberg, and Pisani. Bickell and Dowell could use a scratch though. I would rather see some prospects get a game or two than more of those ineffective yoots. Did we HAVE to get rid of Fras!?!

The John Scott experiment was over when we waived David Koci. Get him in the AHL for good. Hendry should be out on he ice instead of Cullimore.

Bring up Potulny as he wasn't terrible, or bring up a youngster who is healthy and give him some top 6 minutes.

Nobody showed up tonight, and to be quite honest there are too many people who were horrible, from the coaching staff to the players.

Eat your words, Pez. The 4th line has spent as much if not more time in their zone than any of our other lines.

They were on the ice for the first two goals. Minus Sharp who happened to get caught out on the 2nd goal. Sharp and Kaner have a habit of popping onto the ice this year just as goals are scored or about to be scored.

Pez eddie O jr, I called out keith because his defensive play the before the last three games caused 5 goals against. Clearly. If Kane was playing DEFENSE I'd call him out too.

Sorry you disagree. In St. Louis both Keiths turn overs ended up in the back of the net. Next game voracheck schools Keith, and the puck ends up in the back of the net. Following game Keith takes the outside again playing the body, puck in the back of the net. If you are so smart and the rest of us are so dumb why don't you post on the smart board.

Agree with all of this. I don't really care about the loss. It's a long season and teams have rough patches. The fans have a Stanley Cup hangover as much as the team.

But the dumb fucking personell decisions really frost my ass. Cullishit has no place in my NHL. Neither does Scott.

It was infuriating when I saw what our fourth line was going to be earlier today.

It's almost as though Q thought he could put anyone out there against New Jersey.

Was he taking the Devils too lightly?

For some reason I think they are worried about cap space. That's the only reason I can see where he'd shift Dowell who is a 4th line center at best and put those guys on the 4th line.

Crazy. Then again New Jersey is like a wounded dog right now. Well, not after they played the Hawks. The Hawks are now the wounded dog. Going to play the Atlanta Thrasher Hawks.

Had Grant Multvey behind me today. The guy couldn't shut up long enough to watch the game!

Yeah, let's blast the defenseman that is being forced to play half a game every night, for every single mistake he makes, when he is putting up as many points as your golden boy Kane is... Putting up just as many points, while being out on the ice for FAR less goals against. Makes sense. Wait, what?

Sorry he's skating so much time but those turn overs ending up in the back of the net were crazy. He's played pretty well since then though.

First it was Seabrook, then it was Keith. All the forwards can be more responsible, but they aren't on the defensive side.

Hell that 3rd goal never should have happened tonight had Turco held the post. Anyone call him out for the soft goal.

Once again the Hawks were holding the shots down, yet didn't have the lead.

And yes, Sharp and Kane both have hopped on the ice this year only to have goals scored right when they've done so. Probably about 5 each. That's -5.

I don't give a shit about +/- unless they are like plus 20 or minus 20. Other than that it's a very flawed stat.

Defend him all you want. The St. Louis turn overs were in the first 5 minutes of the game. The Columbus one was in the first period and so was the next game. When it's late in the game get back to me.

And as for the "golden boy bullshit", what the **** ever Eddie my golden boy is Seabrook.

Keiths -4 and Kanes -7 and KEITH is not just popping on the ice when goals are scored. He's on the ice trying to defend them. Oh and Sharp is -10 and has 10 goals. Yup.

+/- is a flawed stat.

And tiny small FYI but Keith had like 7 points last week. Before that he had 5 all together. Like I said he is slowly shaking the funk.

And lets get this straight it is Quenneville losing them games now. Hands down, no questions asked.

Not Toews

Not Kane

Not Keith

Not ANYONE but Quenneville. His decision to ice those bozo's as a line tonight cost them two points.

Why are you bringing up Keith at all, when he and Seabrook are both playing just fine over the last 4 games or so? I'm glad you're still bringing up what Keith was doing nearly two weeks ago, but, what the **** for? Really, what did your Keith comments have to do with this GDT? Why even bring it up? It bears no relevance to the conversation, AT ALL. Someone mentions Kane or Seabrook having a rough game, and your reaction is almost always "WELL WHAT ABOUT KEITH!" It really does get old, and the bias comes through clear as day.

It's funny how your double standards work though. Keith is -4 huh? Well, two of those came as EN goals tonight. Another came because Sharp forgot he was playing center, decided to blow the zone early, and was stuck out on the ice with fucking Hendry and Scott at wing. The other minus ALSO came tonight, because Turco doesn't know how to hold the post. See how that works? Not a single minus tonight can be blamed on Keith.

Because I was replying to the post you wrote way back there. You obviously didnt comprehend the post I was replying too.

I didn't blame anything on Duncan tonight. I blamed it all where it belongs, the COACH. I'll just shut the **** up and wait for your "expert opinion" from now on.

LOL! Double standards...... 100% Quennevilles loss tonight.

I know you're really not that dense, you just never like to admit you're wrong. I mentioned Keith here because someone mentioned Kane having a slow start, and, once again, just like clockwork, here comes RK with the misdirection tactics.

Duncans point total is ahead of last year but then again so are his giveaways ending up in the back of the net.

Just out of nowhere, right behind your post defending Kane's "slow start" by referencing his point totals. Zero relevance to the GDT, or the last 4-5 games Keith has played. Seriously, what was the point? Someone criticizes Kane or Seabrook, and BOOM, there's RK to the defense. Seems you can't defend them without somehow having to blast Keith. Are you actually jealous FOR Seabrook, or what?

And, yeah, how the **** can you NOT blame Q for tonight? That fourth line we trotted out there isn't even a fourth line in the AHL... I was expecting a loss as soon as I saw the lineup, and the Hawks didn't disappoint. I just hope the coaching staff and management don't fucking kill our star players with these stupid ass decisions before we even make the playoffs.

Glad you pay so much attention to me. I always wanted another little puppy dog.

and that bolded statement I might have to start calling you Kerfuffle instead of Eddie O jr. I just blasted keiths poor play when it was happening. Seabrook started off the year like that.

Kane is the scapegoat for this team. Always is, yet probably the most dynamic offensive player on it, other than Hossa. Anyone who doesn't see that is a dumb ****.

Good thing he took the shot that brought us the Stanley Cup or he'd really be dogged on.

Oh you added to the post after the fact. LOL Pez, you can't afford my sandbox. hahaha

Maybe I put Kerfuffle down and should apologize.

It's called reading the boards. Pretty hard to miss, and I am certainly not the only one who sees it. Not my fault if you can't see what everyone else does. The whole board knows you're tight with the Kanes, and your man love for Seabrook is WELL documented. So, really, it's not surprising that you defend them so much. Just try and make it a little less obvious, or pick another guy to redirect the negativity towards. Your Keith comments get old, especially when he hasn't played a bad game in a while. Yet, here you are, continuing to bring up mistakes he made two weeks ago..
<

Newsflash: Kane and Seabrook play like shit, and suck, just as much as the rest of our stars. They need to step up their game just like the rest of them. People can criticize the two without having to look back two weeks at a bad game another player had...
<

I can't afford your sandbox? There's no sand in it anyway. It's all stuck in your vagina because someone criticized Kane today.
