Everything you mentioned in every game this past season happened, but it happened every once in a while, as your arguement looks good due to the detailed nature of the descriptions, it also has to be looked at beyond face value. Just because there have been times that he has shown those positives, does NOT=him doing it on a consistent basis.
Hossa,Toews, Sharp should not be used as examples as they do this on a much more consistent basis. Those guys are masters of their craft, especially Hossa and Toews on the 2 way play. I am the biggest fan of 2 way players, I think 2 way players that are good at what they do are hard to come by, it is a Red Wings trademark of the past decade and proves to be a success, but to state that he is good at it is a bit over the top IMHO.
When he played top 6 mins, he was awful.
You complain because he was on the 4th line, the same people who complain about this, are the same ones that state "oh LULZ bowman knows more than you, ZOMFG" So I will use that and state that I believe Q knows more than you and all of us, which equals, stalberg being on the 4th line because that is what he is, a 4th liner. I didnt put him on the 4th line coach Q did, he thinks he is a 4th liner. so "lulz" I will take Q's opinion over yours.
Those guys Sharp, Hossa, Toews all started their careers as 2 way forwards. Stalberg didn't have that, he is being developed into that here in Chicago which is why I posted how he was terrible, and then became defensively reliable. I know he isn't on their offensive level, so dont start saying I am comparing them.
I'd like to see a ratio of his top 6 minutes to his bottom line minutes. Then compare those to a Boruwer, and Bickell. Again, he is on the 4th line to develop that defensive game even more along with more physicality. What I complain about 4th line is when people say he sucks because he only had 24 points, due to being on that 4th line.
Also inconsistent happens when players are developing a new style.
