Good post. Totally agree.

And I also noticed something I had not observed before — he can zip it when he has to. The arm is there. Not a Rogers or Mahomes level arm — but good enough to play in the NFL. Especially because he thinks and anticipates so well.
Arm strength is one of the knocks on him. Not elite like Josh Allen, but adequate. Better than Trask’s arm.

You have some of the worst tackle play in the league (and a bottom third OLine overall), watched one statue in Foles become roadkill this year so you had to put Mitch in to give you the best chance to win because of his mobility, even though he's shit for brains.

Now you want to reach on another immobile QB next year because he can chuck a pretty deep ball? Great. Can't wait for him to get ruined having 2 playbooks in 2 years which don't matter because he's on the run for his life anyways.

See, that slot fade was more impressive by far than anything Mac Jones has done tonight.

I'd love to see Mac's response when he gets his ass kicked by the dline, or the opponents CB's kick his WR's ass, but Ohio state just don't have the talent.

Just not a huge fan. His guys are so wide open and he is under so little pressure I could make those throws. There are just so many unknowns due to the rest of their team dominance. I definitely need to see more tape. He doesn't have a lot of zip on his ball. He could be Tom Brady or he could be Nick Foles and I'm not risking the 20th overall pick when there are other "safer" picks at positions of need.

you may not be aware of this but you can improve the Oline in the off-season. Just an FYI.....

Foles is a statue. Jones is not. He is not Lamar Jackson, but he is masterful at manipulating and moving up in the pocket, unlike Mitch. Not every elite QB can scramble like Kyler Murray. In fact, the best QBs ever couldn’t do that. It’s about escaping pressure within the pocket while continuing to scan the field. Which Jones does quite well.

This drive since Smith went out has been impressive.

This is what I wanted to see out of him.

This draft is deep in WR, ILB, DB, and OT. What it isn't, QB. Get the QB first and the rest later un the draft.

I mean....no draft is ever deep at qb.

This is as good a qb class as there has been in a few decades, probably.

I would not be upset at all if the pick is jones at #20.

I would not be upset if we pass on him to take a tackle either, I'd understand it.

To me its QB/Tackle in the first two rounds. Either Jones in the first round, or trask in the 2nd round.

Knowing pace he will take a WR.

I would egg Halas Hall for that. Who is going to throw to the WR? At least OT helps in the run game as well.

Now you want to reach on another immobile QB next year because he can chuck a pretty deep ball?

These are the short term fixes boyz

-fire Nagy
-sign Cam Newton, he comes in cheap and grounded after his instagram workouts and Patriots fiasco
-sign Rex Ryan
-keep Ryan Pace
-Winner winner chicken dinner!
