well im not trying to say he didn't get hurt if thats what you think im getting at because he obviously did

but from the reply it looked like he just bumped into DJ and i wondered how he got hurt on that

Jordan sets very physical picks. Not dirty but man the guy can really hurt people with them. He sets his legs wide and you are not going to move him. As a guy who likes good solid physical play, Jordan really does that well. I remember Jerry Sloan even from his college days at Evansville. Noone set better screens that Jerry Sloan.

These guys are playing 48minutes a night. It's not like they are building an ancient pyramid by working 15 hour days in harsh conditions. Nothing they do in game from strictly having too much playing time, would promise you any difference in injury from playing a 54minute OT game, or playing 25 minutes off the bench. The odds are still withing reason to be the same. I used to train 3-8 hours every day at an elite level when I was in the service, and these guys don't train anywhere near as much(I know, pro-athletes have told us).

Injuries happen because a person makes a big mechanical mistake, or ignore their symptoms(sometimes symptoms go undetected as well making it an information problem). They don't happen because they play 42 minutes of basketball, opposed to playing 38 minutes. That's just absurd. Especially when this is their craft, this is what they work on, train on, and do every day.

Man, I remember those days working on those damn pyramids. That fucking Pharoah was a bastard! And it'd be one thing if what we were building was going to be used as an apartment building or a sports arena or something but a damn TOMB for his sorry ass? Next thing you know he would have wanted us to preserve his skinny ass body!!!!!! Now that Cleo............ I wouldn't have minded bumping into her a bit in a silk lined coffin!!!!!!

I think that the Bulls are going to have to think very seriously about what to do regarding Rose next year. I wouldn't be unhappy if they tried to find a trade partner to move him to. Yeah, they wouldn't get full value for a healthy Rose but he's been broken down for three seasons now. So I think that they should try and cut their losses if they can.

I don't know if they can trade him or not. I certainly would not just give a guy away that has so much God given talent but you cannot count on him can you? Me, I'd build the new Bulls around Mirotic, Butler, and Noah. IF they could trade Rose, it would free up a lot of cap space that they could use to re-sign Butler and build pieces around the big three players.
I said earlier that I'd scour the foreign players for talent because I think that right now, in terms of understanding team basketball, that they have the advantage over American basketball. When I look at some of the foreign players I see guys who see the court much better as to what the easiest way to score will be. I don't see that today in the US game.

I know that by trading Rose, a lot of Bulls fans would be pissed especially if it turns out he gets healthy and returns to his pre-injury best. But I'd still take that chance and go on and not constantly worry about how to fill in for him when he gets hurt.

You don't know the NBA and the business that it is at all if you think Rose is tradeable.. No one will take on his contract given his injury history. That is too high risk. We are stuck with him until his contract ends.

Maybe. All that I am saying is that there are some teams out there who might love to have this guy as an attraction. Maybe the Bulls could eat some of his contract to make it sweeter to the trade partner but I really do not know how this team can plan a future not knowing what Rose can deliver. The Lakers, for example are going to have a ton of cap room next year and they really need a draw. Maybe Rose to the Lakers? Sacramento? Hell, Dallas or San Antonio, teams that have aging guys soon to retire that will need to re-build?

All that I am saying is that they should explore avenues to trade him.

The NBA CBA doesn't allow that.

I can't actually read this, but if it says what I think it says...

:reptar:
Butler is on table to return early.

Rose is amping up his rehab.. whatever that means.

Ok that was what I thought. :reptar:

If we get Jimmy back this team will be much easier to watch.

I see it all now.......... These are all "injuries" designed to give the star players on the Bulls rest as mandated by Bear Pride. IN this way, Thibs can escape criticism for wearing his players out and avoid the many tongue lashings given by BP and the Bears front office. This obvious scheme was cooked up by Thibs and his players on purpose:)

Just read about all of the crap Shannon Sharpe has leveled against Rose this season. Really? Shannon Fucking Sharpe? The guy who wore a pink suit to the NBA FInals last year? Shannon fucking Sharpe? He's about called Rose a pussy in every way that he can. Shannon FUcking Sharpe? The pussy brother of Sterling Sharpe who at least hit some people in his NFL career.

Look. I have as much frustration about Rose and his rehab but for that fucking asshole calling Rose out and calling him not in the top 15 of point guards in the league is just an asshole wanting to make such an asshole of himself that he is willing just to make himself heard. **** him. And what kind of fucking man's name is Shannon anyway? His middle name must be Wussy Pimp or something else.

he was right on Roses timetable before they actually released it

but it didn't take a brain surgeon to make that guess and be right to make it seem like you got connections

I wonder what some of the great players of the past think about Rose? I remember Kevin McHale playing an entire play-off series with a broken bone in his foot. Then there was Bird who had to lay on the floor spread out because his back was such a mess. Jordan with a 104 degree fever scoring 40+ points. Willis Reed limping around with a broken foot and leading his team to an NBA championship. Wonder what they think?

The only guys you can build the future around right now are Butler and Mirotic (honorable mention to Snell and Doug). Noah is as broken down as Rose at this point and can't be relied on anymore. We all know GarPax won't trade him this offseason, but it definitely the right move.

I agree. They should trade Rose.
