•If the Red Sox have one need, it's a right-handed hitter that can play multiple positions and come off the bench. Jeff Baker of the Cubs fits the bill, but Yamaico Navarro could be an in-house solution. He's on the minor league disabled list with an oblique issue, however.

•GM Brian Cashman told George A. King III of The New York Post that he isn't getting any calls about trades just yet. "I am not getting calls," said Cashman. "We have the farm system and money, but no calls ... The headache stuff is available. The quality stuff is not available."

Hendry needs to be calling NYY and letting them know Z and Fuku be good players for them. NYY need SP and with Swisher struggling NYY might like Fuku cause of his nice D

I diagree with this. BOS is very LH and adding a RH that crushes LHP makes sense. Just dont think you would get much back

There's plenty of better options though.. That could be had for a slightly higher but similar price..

We would basically get next to absolutely nothing back for the guy..

Who is the better option? Said they wanted a guy who can play multiple postions and hits RH. I think Baker fits that perfect.

No, we definitely are. Your standings reading ability is superb.

We came into the series tied with Pittsburgh. And ya, they've been better this year, but they still are by no means a good team. We shouldn't be losing 10-0 to them when they are a game ahead of us. We are not supposed to lose to them, we're supposed to have a close game based on standings, where either team may come out victorious.

And we have a better record against everyone except Pittsburgh than they do against everybody but us.
