I personally don't know of anyone that didn't like the game. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. It won every Game of the Year Award for a reason.

I was speaking more on a personal level, but you're right, people are upset. I haven't had any experience ruining problems though while playing on my PS3.

Ditto. Have over 115 hours on my save file without a hiccup.
And now I'm running over to my PS3 making sure I backup my save file 15 different times.

No problem. I went to about level 30 before I figured out how to do that. Same way with Alchemy. Didn't know you had to eat the stuff before you could unlock an effect.

I'm ready for something. I play these games too fast. On my 5th character. Beat all the main quest lines twice. That's the main thing I was disappointed in about this game, the quest lines are really short compared to Oblivion.
All I really have to do is wander around and explore everything. I only have 4 trophies (achievements) left before I get the Platinum Trophy, and they're pretty simple trophies to get.
They said the DLC for this game will be huge, so I'm really looking forward to whatever it will be. Hope it has something to do with the Thalmor. I hate those elf bastards.

This month the 1.4 patch will be released and it's supposed to fix the PS3's lag issues. I know that kept some people from buying the game until that patch was put in.

Bought it and I haven't had any debilitating lag problems. Such a fun game.
