My wife and I cartwheel at Ping Tom Park but the South Bend of the Chicago River kind of stinks. We are planning to move to a place with a yard to exercise in peace.

@ytsejam I don't know if you and Maggie Raptor are in Cook County but they have actually done a good job of making Bubbly Creek which used to catch fire from all the animal fat poured in there from the stockyards into a recreational destination. It actually smells and looks better than the river by Ping Tom Park, and is close to Marz Brewing and the BridgePort Arts Center.
The neighborhood makes for a very therapeutic weekend and Bubbly Creek was also a centerpiece of Upton Sinclair's earth-shattering book, 'the Jungle'.

If too much weed is making you remember football message board grudges from 5, or 7, or 9 years ago, I might also remind you that as much as I shit on Ping Tom Park, you can catch the water taxi from there that will take you into the heart of the Loop at least off-winter. People love the Loop but my opinion is, once you've had to work in it, you don't want to visit it

Weed is a mind expander if smoked in the right quantity & the right quality. Even better when you walk. It doesn't help harbour grudges, or get jobs on the London Underground.
Bit like MDMA and LSD can be used in helping those who do have mental health issues, if micro dotted or ingested.

If weed, or MDMA, or LSD didn't help you get a job for 5, or 7, or 9, or more years, I would just like to reiterate that the chicago water taxi only operates from march to november, in case you have a job and were hoping to use it. Or you could just take herbal tea and walk 4 miles... to work.
