He is very similar to Golden Tate, has the build up speed but inst extremely explosive for someone that size and double catches passes. I am very interested to see how smooth he is running routes.

He's not Tate at all IMO. Tate was a RB in HS and those skills translated big time to WR. You'd be surprised how much of a difference that could make. Tate's YAC ability is directly related to his skills and experience as a HS RB.

Umm.

I'm the first person here to tell anyone if ND sucks or a player does. I did it last week with EQ St. Brown FWIW.

My point was comping Washington to Tate was that Washington didn't even show the YAC ability in terms of HOW he did it in college.

Meant to post this here -

Is the consensus at this point generally that the top of the QB class is still that strong, or that teams just need QBs that much? I know last year looking forward it was a great class, but haven't really heard much positive since then- but now I'm still seeing analysts like Benjamin Allbright predicting 4 QBs in the top 6 picks.

Am I just listening to too much Greg Gabriel (some will say any GG is too much, but I like him as a knowledgeable evaluator and complete jackass) and there are legitimately top grades on 4 QBs? Or is it more a function of either need, or lack of elite players at other positions?

I think with the QB's of this year you have to look at what they could be and not what level they are playing at right now. This draft doesn't have a DeShaun Watson that will be ready day one.

Watson wasn't ready day one...just was the most pro-ready.

What is the difference?

It means that he looked like shit for a few games until he got his feet under him then Watson started ballin out. His HC didn't help him much though because he's brutally inflexible playing his QBs like they're Tom Brady.

I like Keke Coutee competitiveness but I think he should change his name in the pros.

Can you do some kind of write up on ND players that are eligible to be drafted this year?

I like when a fan of a team can be honest about players, especially the negative comments.

I kind of agree with Ben, I see 4 QBs going in the top 10.

I would be shocked if we didn't see 4 QBs in the first six picks this year.

This is fantastic news, but I find it hard to believe. Does this tell us more about the top end talent in the draft being weak or there are that many QB needy teams?

Golden Tate was spoiled in college to have Jimmy Clausen as QB.

I watched them a lot (married into an ND family), my 2 cents:

Nelson is a true stud.

McGlinchy is a bit overrated, probably more a late first, second round type player.

St. Brown is overrated, more like a 3rd-4th rounder.

Jerry Tillery is a player probably few have heard of, but I think he's going to be a solid NFL DT. Round 4 type player. Good length and stout against the run.

Josh Adams, to me, is about a 4th or 5th rounder. Fast, but a little upright and stiff.

Sounds like James Washington had a really good day today.

Nobody here has mentioned Will Hernandez, but it sounds like he's been great both days.
