I just can't stomach another season of watching Gavin Floyd.

I wanna break my remote every time this ass hat is on the mound.

108 ERA+ since 2008, 1.27 WHIP. Not an ace of the staff, but hardly a deer in headlights.

And he could long relieve if needed I am guessing, so that would knock out the need for a veteran reliever, so we could focus on that LH bat

I think Santiago would go long relief in that case.

Would anyone be against Mike Morse? Push Dayan to third, have Kep play 2nd?

I think there may be a bidding war, though. And it wouldn't be smart for the Sox, but he's an upgrade to the line-up.

Oh no he'd be almost perfect for the Sox, the only dislike is that he isn't a lefty.

Morse in the Cell would be worth all of the faps.

Yeah, but there could be close to a dozen teams after Morsen and there's a chance the Nats will get what they want for him and/or will get overpaid. The Nats would probably want a pitcher-RP in return.

A Gavin Floyd reunion? You only would wish lol.

Might take Gavin+ if it got to that point, which I would do.

But I have a tendency to fall in love with certain players, and I'm in love with Mike Morse.

He makes my heart skip beats.

Maybe Thorton and more for Morse. The Nats want a LHP. And maybe Scott Snodgress (their 6 best prospect). Plus a PTBNL.

Trust me, I bet any White Sox fan would do a trade like that.

Thornton's got one more year with a team option and as bad as he sucked and declined last season, he's still a decent LH option out of the pen. What could KW and Hahn get for Floyd at this point?

Prolly not much and/or what they wanted for him. That's why he's still on the Sox and we haven't heard anything about Floyd. Many teams may not even be interested.

but if he was a cub I bet you would be saying...... "oh yea, there is like 12 teams looking at him and we will probably get 2 top specs"

and you know I am right.

Floyd might draw interest. He is a decent young pitcher with great stuff when he is on. He is fairly cheap, so the ChiSox could likely nab a few good prospects. But they likely wont get any major league ready talent for him unless the ChiSox eat a good chunk of what he is owed.

With Santiago and Molina knocking on the door for starting gigs, I don't see how the Sox haven't gotten more aggressive with wanting to move Floyd. They may be waiting to see what happens with Lohse and Marcum. Just like with teams sweating out Michael Bourn, there are one or two teams bound to feel like they lost out on making a splash in free agency and would be wiling to add a solid backend piece. The Sox will definitely miss Floyd in division match-ups -- he always seems to pitch well against the Central.
