The issue with trading Floyd at this point is that you really have no idea what you are going to get from Danks at this point. He could come back and be the pitcher that earned the extension or he could still be hurt/suck. I think until they know what they have with Danks they will keep Floyd unless someone offers them something ridiculous for him.

Pretty much this.

Floyd won't be moved, if at all, until they know what they're getting from Danks.

I would rather keep Floyd, just because everyone in the rotation is an injury risk and I don't really trust Q, Santiago, etc to hold up.

Floyd did, does and has always sucked! Get this bum out of here. He pitches like a kid with Tourette's syndrome.

Any stats to back that up?

Floyd has been above average pitching for the Sox, his lone down year for us was 2011 when he had a 99 ERA+.

How is everyone an injury risk or are you speaking in "the sky is blue" terms???????

but if he was a cub I bet you would be saying...... "oh yea, there is like 12 teams looking at him and we will probably get 2 top specs"

and you know I am right.

Nope. I know what players can get good 'spects and who cannot. Of players who who have a great chance to be traded, Garza is the only one who can net us a pretty good package if healthy.

Garza > Floyd? I think it's a lot closer than any fan would think

No, not at all. Garza is by far the better pitcher. Garza won't attract as much in a trade like last yeay, but if the Cubs do trade him, it'll be a pretty good offer.

Texas was going to offer Mike Olt in a trade for Garza plus more, but then he got injured and that went out the window. Floyd won't get Olt in a deal.

I'm not saying you're wrong (I do think the Garza injury plus the fact that Floyd does take the ball 29 times a year, every year does make it closer than it seems based on the numbers), but define "close."

I can't remember who reported it, but someone did. And I don't think it was just one person, I think it was multiple.

Garza is a 3 starter, but can pitch like a 2 starter - not bias opinion by me, seen it over Twiiter. Floyd is more of a 4th starter.

I'm not exactly sure myself on that definition to be honest.

I liked the Keppinger signing. But what else has he done, besides bring back a scrub like Wise & let AJ walk?

And to think I was excited about him as GM.

Is this serious?
Peavy has been injured the majority of his tenure. Sale has a funky delivery, and just pitched his first year as a starter, Danks is still recovering and could replapse, and Floyd has made a few trips to the DL.

Sale is case number one. If you meant generic as in every pitcher is an injury risk, no problem. But Sale is no risk. Sorry dude

Sale may not get injured, but he does have a dangerous delievery. So if he were to get injured, it would not surprise me.
