The Hawks didn't win last nights game because 2 and 7 were put back together. The Hawks won because they scored some damn goals. That will lead to success. Even more so when your goalie has a GAA below 2.

No they won the last two games because Shaw had no purpose on the powerplay and Q moved him... Or maybe he's not ignoring effort.

Agree. Getting to game 7 saved his job if it was even on the line which I don't believe it was.

PP problems are both coaches and the players themselves. In the end they're the ones that have to execute and score. Granted, they do need a good scheme to score. Dump and chase doesn't work obviously. But when they actually control the puck, pass, and shoot they score.

The PP is a scheme problem somewhat but if Bowman knows that Q plays a dump and chase PP then he should look to sign players who compliment that.

On the other hand, when Q puts people like shaw on the PP then it's his fault. lol

If the higher-ups are satisfied with 2 first round exits and a 2nd round exit to an inferior opponent, I have worries beyond the coaching staff and GM.

I don't like any play where you give up puck possesion but if they're standing up at the blueline, you need to dump it past them. It wouldnt hurt if the officials would actually call the interference that teams that lineup at the blueline do constantly.

Oh yes I agree with that. But when they dump the puck in, don't get it, have it cleared, and do the same for 2 minutes it is extremely frustrating.

Aggravating to watch a PP go by with not one shot. I just dont like dump and chase on the PP. Too easy for the defense to get it and ice the puck.
