In all honesty, JD should be MVP and the only reason he’s not going to get it is that there’s a RoY honor they can peddle to recognize his achievements this season. Compared to the other MVP finalists, his supporting cast is laughable with McLaurin being the only other player worth a damn in that offense. He doesn’t have the help Josh or Lamar enjoy.

No, he shouldnt be MVP.

WTF?

If we're talking about a guy who elevated a team burrow clearly should have been MVP. He was the best quarterback in the NFL this year

That defense was ass cheeks and cost them the playoffs

So because Williams was bad he’s Peyton manning, and Daniels is stroud. But if Williams would have been really good, I doubt any of his fans would bring up stroud.

I had this game so down that I only missed an 8 way same game parlay because I idiotically took David Montgomery to get 60 yards.

I had

Daniel’s for 45+ in the first
Daniel’s 225+ passing
Daniels 2 TD passing
Washington covering
McLauren 70+
St. Brown 70+
The over

And lost 1000 on a $12 bet throwing Montgomery for 60+ in there
Then you didn’t actually lose the opportunity to win that much since if you had taken Monty out of the parlay, it would have paid out considerably less

He's way better than Caleb Williams. His accuracy is just flat out better.

So I was wrong about how much growth Daniels experienced in his final year at LSU and contributed it more to his receivers Nabers and Thoms Jr. His raw talent has always been there but I thought he didn't mature mentally.

I was wrong and he's a good QB.

I'm still all about Drake Maye and Penix Jr but Daniels is that dude. Can't wait to see how good Maye can be with some help and better coaching.

Beating the Lions in Detroit - That's impressive.

Two road playoff wins - That's impressive.

Best rookie quarterback in a long time.

Great QBs can elevate the players around them and since the NFC lacked a great QB at the start of the year, Jayden Daniels walked right in and took it.

This is what I was begging Justin Fields to do and argued on this board for. The NFC has been wide open waiting for a great QB to come and take it over. If Jayden Daniels is the guy that's done it, good luck to everyone else.

Jared Goff beat himself. Guy was ass cheeks.

Daniels had a great performance but that game was decided by goff.

It's not all Daniels.. Having QUALITY coaching have something to do with all of that. Wouldn't you agree?

High quality? How about adequate. Kliff Kingsbury has been adequate. He hasn't done anything next level. It's not like he'd take Jared Goff and turn him into Josh Allen.

Can’t help pulling for this player and team absolutely much respect! I know the NFL is geared towards “worst to First storylines, but geez! Let’s see to go from a 4 & 13 team to a 12 & 5 team with a 7 & 2 home record after having cleaned house. Treated away two of their best defensive lineman to get some draft picks. Fire the general manager fire the head coach and 50% of the staff. Bring on a rookie quarterback, a competent offensive coordinator. And now to be in the NFC championship game! Even the owner, Harris has built himself and his empire, with hard work, education, and knowing how to surround himself with people who know basketball, football, soccer, even car racing! Our ownership is only there because of the father marrying a Halas. Our beloved team had that same opportunity last year. How foolish to think that we retained a general manager and a head coach with the records they had when we had that golden opportunity to bring in the number one draft pick and start all over. How foolish to not invest in a line and to keep trading away second and third round draft picks for players who can never get the ball because our quarterback has no time to get it to them. And upon further review maybe he is unable to complete a deep ball?

Washington has a crap defense too. Like near the bottom in run defense. Burrow elevated his team, but elevated them to what? JD elevated his sorry a$$ squad to the post season and past two playoff teams, and without having the best wide receiver tandem in the league like Burrow. They also faced each other earlier in the season, and one outperformed the other.

I'm not talking OC here. Consider All coaching, because all of it affect on field performance. The narrow sightedness' of some, amazes me..

Remember before the Bears/Commanders game when many on here so confidently said it was dumb to think Daniels was actually good?

NO! YOU CAN’T TALK WELL OF ANY ROOKIE QBs WHO AREN’T CALEB WILLIAMS!!

I’m a believer in Williams, but I acknowledge his faults and that Daniels and Nix look like the real deal. It’s possible to have multiple thoughts at once.

Best rookie quarterback I've seen in terms of winning in his first season since Dan Marino.

He has been great, that doesn’t mean our guy sucks. It’s a team game and Daniels was always the more NFL ready to start right away. He also has infinitely better coaching. Admittedly he is exceeding all expectations and I’m happy for him. I don’t sit and watch him and think he would be doing this same thing with Eberflus and Waldron.

I know it’s sort of cliched and in a lot of ways with how you can’t touch the QB anymore I’m not sure it really applies the way it used to. And maybe I’m just holding onto this take for dear life because I need to. But I’d still be worried about him holding up. He isn’t very big and he puts himself at risk to take big shots. You can tell when he talks he has that youthful naivety to all of it. He thinks he is invincible as far as injuries go. The risk for serious injury is going to always be there with him though. He puts himself at too much risk for it at some point not to come back and bite him.

Football also because of the small sample of games over a season inherently has a lot of variance. Which is just a different way of saying there is a lot of luck involved. I don’t think I’m creating some false narrative here. Washington has run like freaking god this year. It’s insane how lucky they were in close games all year. That almost never holds up. Would anybody really be surprised if Washington won 6 games next year?

Wait, Daniels was more “NFL Ready” than Caleb now?!

Man, how drastically the narratives have changed since the draft lol
