You cannot be serious.... Jim fucking Hendry is not even qualified to fetch Kenny Williams coffee in the morning.

Ha. Williams couldn't make a trade if his life depended on it.

They are both fairly equal but I would take Hendry's ability to trade over Williams ability to sign FA's.

Though Williams is funny and Hendry is fat but Hendry is definitely a better GM.

Please tell me you are being facetious. Kenny has kept the Sox competive with a lower payroll and in a much tougher division when compairing him with Hendry.

There is not even a debate on who the better GM is. Please show me evidence of Hendry being better than Williams. This should be good...

Sarcasm is like a second language to you isn't it?

IDK, you still acted like they were stupid for not keeping him, even though you just admitted that what I said was true and he was no stand-out and didn't appear to be MLB ready.

You are overrating the AL Central first of all. Second, there is totally a debate. Such a homer dude. Yeah the Sox have a massive advantage over the Cubs in that they won the WS under KW but each team has made the playoffs 3 times under their current GM. Stop acting like the Sox have dominated their division since he's been there. You come into Cubs forum blasting us for being homers and you are clearly the same way.

1) joe borchard for thornton, brandon mccarthy for nick masset and jon danks, yeah getting contreras, garcia, uribe, podsednik, vizcaino didnt help win us a world series. trading garcia away for gavin floyd. trading aaron rowand away for thome etc etc etc Every GM makes bad trades.

2) right because jim hendrys FA ability hasnt hindered the cubs.

3) ROFL! I really hope this is an attempt at sarcasm.

They obviously were.

Repeat: The Cubs were stupid for not keeping a player that has turned into one of the best players in baseball.

You've got to be kidding me! If there is a black mark against Williams, in spite of his World Series ring, its his INABILITY to keep the White Sox competitive in one of the WEAKEST divisions in recent memory. The White Sox should be winning the AL Central every year. The White Sox have the HIGHEST payroll in the AL Central.

Since winning the World Series, the White Sox have made the postseason once in the last five years, and even then they didn't win 90+ games and were immediately eliminated without much of a fight.

In sum, a complete posting failure on your part.

and has completely gutted their farm system.

Playoffs are a crapshoot so using 1 WS ring as your argument has to be about the dumbest thing ever.

I can give some examples of JH making good FA signings. Doesnt mean he is good. KW is awful at trades. Just awful.

As for Josh Hamilton:

He just won the AL MVP. The Cubs had a chance to hold onto him after taking him in the Rule 5 draft but instead traded him away for cash to the Reds. That's a loss. Scary thought is if they hold onto Hamilton they may not have to sink money into Bradley as Hamilton would give them both a RF/CF and a lefty bat. I really can't believe I'm having to explain how not holding onto Josh Hamilton is a loss

You don't attack the Cubs for trading him away, You attack them for not knowing who he was at all and doing the Reds the favor for cash.

Williams >>>>> Hendry. Williams is arguably top 5 GM in baseball, espcially given the budget he has to work with.
