Brian Sabean? Brian Sabean? You have got to be fucking kidding me.

.
Nope.

San Fran was perpetually losing before he came to town.

Sabean's Giants have been to two World Series. Won one of them.

He's won four division titles. A wild card. Etc.

He's been easily the best GM in Giants history and has been one of the most sucussful GM's win wise in the last 60 years.

His resume exceeds both Hnedry and Williams.

Try again.

Care to explain how he isn't a better GM than Hendry and Williams?

Dumbrowski isn't really all that great.

Williams on the other hand keeps the team competitive to the last month of the season for the most part, he gives the Sox the tools they need year in and year out, he sticks to his end of the bargain, its the team that fails to finish the job, thats more on Ozzie than Kenny.

Dave Dombroski is actually a pretty good GM

Well coming from you this isn't shocking but Beane is still a top five GM in the league.

You realize the A's allowed the fewest runs in the AL last year and were just as good according to Pythagorean record as the White Sox right? All this with 56% of the payroll.

If Billy Beane isn't a top 10 or so GM then Kenny Williams isn't even in the top 30.

wow. i love how all of you evaluate GMs.

I like Billy Beane, hes over rated but not terrible, "Moneyball" idea failed

A's haven't had a winning season in 4+ years.

Brian Cashman...seriously?
Yes, the guy spends money but he wins.

There are some guys that spend a shit load and don't win a thing..or much. Cashman does. Tough to ignore that. He also deals with the highest expectations of any team in the majors...so he has to win.

Dumbrowski isn't really all that great.

Neither is Kenny.

He's better than 'Browski(by how much I don't really care) but I don't think Kenny is Top 5. He's above average. Which isn't bad. But isn't great.

KW is far and above the better GM of the two.

No, he really isn't.

Both GM's have severe faults. They are both fairly equal but I do give JH more credit for being able to trade and build up a decent farm system.

With what little he has to work with, the fact that Beane has rebuilt the A's in 4 seasons is pretty remarkable. Look at the A's roster, the Athletics are going to be solid this year.

Beane is so good, the A's have finished under .500, 3 of the last 4 seasons.

Did you even bother to read the rest of what I said? Kenny builds the Sox the best team in the division every year usually. The fact that the Sox failed to win the division in 01, 02, 03, 04, 06, 09 & 10 is by the hands of Manuel and Guillen, not Kenny.

Injuries and a team offensive slump killed 2007.

That's not what he said or implied.

I don't know how you get "amazing" from him using the word "decent".

The Giants have finished above 3rd only once in the last 6 years. So basically what I get here is that he won a WS therefore he is a great GM. Sounds like Kenny Williams syndrome to me.

He's no Dayton Moore, but he isn't far from it. Brian Sabean is one of the worst GM's in baseball.

But when they won it all in 2005 Kenny gets credit? So in 2004 it wasn't Kenny's fault, in 2006 it wasn't Kenny's fault but by some baseball accountability miracle Kenny gets credit only when the team succeeds in 2005 and 2009?

What blame does he have for the massive fail in 2007?

How exactly did Moneyball fail?

Do you know what Moneyball is?

Moneyball is quite well and alive and the 2010 A's showed that.
