Saw this and thought that it definitely sounds like a Plan B for the Blackhawks. Certainly wouldn't cost as much as some of the other big rentals. Vrbata has been having a little bit of a down year, not playing with the Sedins and actually outside of the top 6 for a good chunk of the season. Just question how Vrbata would be transitioning to the left side and if he would mesh with Toews/Hossa. Also, Vrbata is currently injured for a week or so.

Vbrata his entire career has had one style of play.. I don't think it would change. It's just shoot shoot and shoot anytime he can get the shot. Maybe it would work as it's not off from how Sharp acted in his more Offensive full oriented play besides T&H

Vrbata would be a nice addition, but he's probably one of the streakiest players in the NHL.
He'd probably double his production if he came to the Blackhawks.

Is he in the league currently, where, on nashville? I know he had a shockingly good post-season on the Canadiens 2 seasons ago but started last season so badly for them, like became a minus 10 with no points for games then they waived him.

Rumors are saying that the Blackhawks have acquired Ladd (Jay Zawaski one of them and Dreger now). No word on for what/who yet.

Edit: Obviously deserves its own thread once confirmed but seeing Dano + First.
