I said 5 pages back that remy is unable to not argue in any thread he posts in. He chose to ignore it because he knows it is the truth. He lives for arguing and takes pride in how many pages he can drag it out for. When someone proves him wrong he just simply moves the goalposts and redirects his argument to a different subject. Dude has never been wrong in his life. Don't ever ask him to admit he was wrong because he is incapable of doing so.

Two people close to the situation have told me the Bears are frustrated with Vic Fangio & his camp. Belief is he still has eyes for other potential gigs. There's a "shit or get off the pot" vibe.

But I still think it happens.

You mean like how Pace allegedly told Fangio that his interview for head coach was serious and not just a courtesy with an eye towards signing him as a DC?

Pace publicly said he was looking for an offensive minded coach. Not buying that Fangio ever even considered he had a real chance at it.

My initial reaction is to agree. But considering the $hit storm he's had to deal with the past 3 years here maybe he deserves some slack.

Just how obtuse do you think Fangio is to even believe he had a chance at the Bears head coaching position? Has any other team given him a head coaching interview so far aside from the Bears? Seems pretty obvious it was a favor and a nod to the respect they have for him. He's a moron to interpret it any other way.

I am not saying he interpreted it another way. I am saying the Bears clearly did what was best for them so Fangio can do the same.

If there are other opportunities out there that Fangio wants to explore then that is his choice. He is not being a bitch anymore than the Bears were being bitches when they blocked his interviews or gave him a courtesy HC interview.

its not surprising that bears would be upset...seems like he's waiting to go with another team once they hire their coach and the bears are thinking they have a chance at retaining him. My money is on arizona hiring shurmur and he's going to hire fangio.

It was all a game to entertain him to stay. If the Bengals were that interested they would have waited until his contract expired.

The part that stuck out to me is it seems the Bears coaches have to read into "He still has eyes for other gigs". Just straight up say it. Maybe he has, but at this point if something else "may be" more appealing, then usually it is time to move on.

There are stats on people staying with a company they wanted to leave anyways. If they do stay, and are even compensated to do so, they leave very soon after anyways.
