They should have been add ons, but neither game added much of anything, even in the online forum. they should have just cut both of them and stuck with focusing on making ACIII good.

They added some decent new game features. as far as revelations at least. i.e. moving the long range weapons and melee weapons to different buttons so you could stab someone in the neck and not have to switch weapons to shoot someone in the face right after. I liked the parachute, and ziplines also.

Now the problems You could beat AC revelations in like 3 hours if you just burn through the MQ's. Combat is too easy as well, which is why you can burn through it in 3 hours. I mean I know you are a super assassin and all that, but weapon and armor upgrades are meaningless, Ive never said to myself, i need better weapons and or armor to beat this part of the game. They made it even more so with the "execution" ability, where you can essentially one shot bad guy after bad guy. Janissaries, were by far the toughest guys yet in an AC game, but still, I wiped out an entire camp of them by dropping spike bombs(which you can build after the 3rd main quest, and the world practically shits bomb ingredients into your lap) and stabbing them in the face when they were hobbling around.

So my point is, there is no need to get better weapons and armor, which is what side questing helps you do (i.e. getting money or special weapons etc) because frankly its too easy to just own everything, especially when you are in the groove of the games mechanics like playing revelations right after brotherhood.

I came like a volcano when I watched the teaser trailer.

I need to make a note to myself not to acquire another girlfriend until after this game comes out and I fucking lived in it for a year.

Downloaded the latest NBA JAM On Fire Edition... it was about $7 for plus and it is awesome. Just like I remembered it. Old school and fucking classic while updating everything. You get points to spend but as far as I can tell the stuff you buy and the leveling up you do, has no real effect on your game. Defense can be frustrating as hell, and the controls can be wonky but the commentary is oustanding as usual and you have as much fun slamming shit down while on fire as you do cussing the **** out of it for not working right. I'd say for the price it's easily a buy. My buddy and I play coop online and have a shit ton of fun playing the computer. You can also purchase with your in game points legacy players and have fun with super teams. Like Scottie Pippen and Derrick Rose. haha.

It's not free? Probably won't download then - while I enjoyed the game back in the day - not enough to put monies down for it.

It can be a little...klunky, but there is a virtual "stick" at the left thumb, and the three buttons are at the right thumb. If you need to do shoves and any moves with Turbo, you slide from turbo to pass/shoot. It can be annoying at times and klunky enough that I wouldnt put money on any given game, but easy enough for L rides...

it's just over 7 bucks for plus memebers, like like the cost of lunch. Only you get hours and hours of fun and it's a full game not a mini.

That does sound a bit clunky. I was thinking from the turbo end of it alone it's gotta be rough..

Thinking about downloading a RTS or turn based small unit WW2 military tactics game along the lines of the old Avalon Hill Squad Leader board games. So far I've looked at Soldiers: Heroes of WW2 and the Combat Mission series. I've read Microsoft had a line of games based on Avalon Hill ASL games. Anybody have any recommendations?

I pre-ordered NCAA13 and have been playing since it came out last Tuesday, it's incredibly in-depth, almost an RPG with a football background. Very fun game, still having to learn a lot it's gear more toward folks who have played the franchise non-stop, but I'm getting there.

I don't know any but just want to throw this out there. They remade Panzer Corps which was turned base strategy, you might dig that

I bought Soldiers: Heroes of WW2 and downloaded it last night. Spent aboot 2 hours going through the tutorials learnig how to control/command the units. Will load up a mission and play tonight.

Video of screen shots.

Graphics seemed better than Combat Missions and I like being able to directly control unts, instead of just issuing orders and seeing what happens.

The game is availble free I believe, I still paid for it at Good Old Games, just because it comes with all the content, maps ect.... and fixes for any bugs, upgrades ect....

So Soldiers: Heroes of WW2 is a cross between RTS tactics/strategy and a 1st person shooter. So far I'm loving it. You can command units to do specific actions (attack, hold ground, return fire, ect...) and then sit back as well as controlling indivdual units/vehicles. It's pretty fun so far. Worth a look for PC gamers, availbel free or low cost at multiple sites for download. Don't believe the company supports the multi-player online server anymore , which is a little bit of a disappointment. But it's still fun to play.
