Meh...

I actually have one of these. Its close... But the trigger-mush is still there. The PS controller is better for games that need like a sliding across buttons (read as "fake shot" in FIFA for example) and the Dpad is much better, but overall I still give it to the Xbox. Although this new PS4 controller looks to be better. I just completely hate the PS L2/R2 trigger mush.

I just grabbed one of the many aftermarket products I wasn't going to waste my time on it. I do concede the the new xbox controller looks better than the PS4 controller and it's one of the few innovations that I think they have Sony beat on, but definitely not for the placement of the Dpad or other analog stick. It just doesn't matter to me. The receptive feedback of the triggers on the other hand... holy shit that would be cool if sony could figure it out too.

It wasn't different for me though. I had a PS2, I was used to the dual shock configuration. And then after the Xbox was out a year or two I bought it and played with one of the smaller redesigned Xbox controllers, and there was no going back. Just much more natural feeling.

Yeah mass it is just a better layout hands down, getting used to it or not it is the natural position for the thumb. I like the triggers on the xbox better too but thats really not a big deal, though the top buttons (L1 and R1) are better on the PS controllers. the xbox controller buttons for that have too short a throw

The more time that passes, the more Xbox fans sound like battered spouses.

I'm a fan of both systems and their games, I had both. I just would always play any multiplatform games on the Xbox because of their controller.

Nice message Microsoft is sending here. This is from Xbox chief Don Mattrick

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity," Mattrick said. "It's called Xbox 360."

DId microsoft hire the CEO of EA to run Xboxs PR now?

I got to admit I am finding it near impossible to make a case for getting an xbox. I am far from a fanboy I own all cross platform games for my PS3 (and I own more editions of NHL than all other games combined). Blu-ray was my deciding point on the 2 systems really. Before all this bullshit, when I found out xbox had bluray I was thinking going xbox this time, now its a for sure going the playstation route again.

I AM on the otherhand pissed that PS4 charging for online play now though.

I'd been meaning to post this, did you see the story behind it. It was just impromptu and made as a joke at first but they really liked it and said screw it put it out viral.

So I got Uncharted3., XCOM, little big planet Karting, and a cool indie game free this month from PS+ but this is my main problem with the gaming industry... It's been over a day now and I'm like halfway through the download. Then on top of all that they are so big I have to delete so much shit. Uncharted3 has 2d and 3d movie download things that i Have no idea what they do... and it's all like 40 gig together. This is the future of video game industry and they still want ot put 500 gig hard drives and pretend those won't be full in a year with all the dlc they focus on. it's driving me nuts to have to delete stuff in order to make room for stuff I don't even know If I'll like.

We do... we get 1 gig for the saved game data. Which... well... is backup... so I guess I could delete the game data off my system, but then every time I want to go play a game I would have to go redownload it. Not a big deal, but also 1 gig pails in comparrison to 40+ gig uncharted 3. It's great to have for emergencies though which I love having the backup.

What size hard drive do you currently have in your ps3? It's extremely easy to upgrade your hard drive and they're relatively cheap these days.

Deleting you game save data isn't worth it for the the most part as it doesn't save you much room. Unless it's a game you never play anymore.

TSD, I'm not happy they're charging to play online either. Although, I am a PS+ member I feel like I'll be losing all those perks. At the same time, Sony is in desperate need to upgrade their servers to compete with Xbox and by charging a fee that's the easiest way. At least they aren't charging for those who just want to use Netflix, Hulu, etc.

I have the 250 gig, and it filled fast. I'm still convinced that somehow Fallout New Vegas destroyed my system and it's ability to handle saved filed. I don't know how to switch out the hard drive. Do all I need is the saved game files and the game data files for anything that I've downloaded? I'd love to back that up on a backup drive, and then factory restore the system. But I'm afraid to **** it up.
