I'll still have my 360 for HBOGO, PS3 (assuming PS4) does netflix and amazon so yeah. I like the direction the Xbox is going but along the way they fucked up all the minor shit that adds up

Well, as mentioned we all have our "hot buttons". When I was talking to G in Vegas, well, he is gonna get both, but really the one thing I cared about that wasnt mentioned at the time, was the headsets. When I saw the articles talking about xb1 vs ps4 headsets, well, the rest of it was the same between them.

I don't understand the HBO GO app for XBOX or playstation.... In order to use it you must have HBO... and if you have HBO, just watch it on the TV? What am I missing. As for the the ESPN app... do you mean WatchESPN channel thing to watch live sports? That would be nice, but most folks are blocked anyway if they don't have the right provider anyway, they can't log in? UFC... well I would love to watch UFC but I'm not going to pay for it. What does the app do?

I'm with you, Amazon Prime and Netflix is really all you need. I don't need apps to replace stuff I already do on my TV, I need apps to put stuff I watch on the computer onto my TV. That's it.

I have yet to get the HBO on demand stuff set up properly for Dish. Mind you I didnt PICK Dish, as I have to pay for it in my assessments whether I have and use or not... So for someone like me, it is easier to use Xbox for it (although I dont).

The ESPN app I have only used to watch soccer highlights and it seems like ESPN on demand, which was cool when soccer got real busy with MLS + World Cup Quals + <insert cup> Games.

UFC is really just another interface for watching PPV fights, but they do have some free ones now and again, not needed for me at all.

But I guess all these apps available are important to many and so many I have never even heard of that XB1 will support and a few ?? if PS4 will.

And here all I cared about was a headset...

Now that I think of it, HBO to go can be nice because they let you watch all the show on demand... but I have a DVR so I don't really need it. All the shows I want to watch I set up to record and watch them on demand that way. Other than that the only people i know that want HBO2GO on their XBOX are people are are stealing HBO by using other people's accounts. Since all you need is their log in to the service provider.

I don't know if you've ever tried to set it up but it's real easy. For you you just log in, they ask you who your cable/Sat is... you select, log in using that username and password and boom you are pretty much ready. to go. They may make you create an HBO account if you aren't already linked.

Oh yeah, I have it set up on the Xbox easy as hell. But using the menus from Dish and all that crap? Horrible.

I haven't had dish for about 2 years now unfortunately... I like it better than direct but we wont' get into that... They have blockbuster because they bought blockbuster so that makes sense, it's just a shame it still went downhill after that.

I don't know what you mean but through the Dish Menus, you mean DIsh has an HBO2GO ap? That's kind of cool I guess?

I dunno, it is supposed to have an app for it? I dont know, non-issue really. I get beIN Sports, Fox Soccer, NHL network, Comcast sports, nbcsports, and enough ESPNs (maybe to the "OCHO") to catch all the soccer I want to watch. It has the dvrs for the what, 3 - 5 shows I watch and my building gets it cheap as hell. Good enough.

Oops, sorry for the derail...back on track?

Last of Us (ps3 only I believe), is truly worthy of its praise.

Not really a spoiler, but here is the first section of the game. Beautiful game and I was hooked instantly. the video is about 15 min, but I would be a liar if I said I didnt get a bit emotional. Not JR Cause Its The Blackhawks emotional, but sat there after that, poured a whiskey and just said: "Damn".

Damn it. you are making it harder for me to wait to buy it. I am waiting for it to drop to about 20 bucks, but everything I keep hearing makes it a must by. My xbox fan boy friend told me to buy it so he could borrow my PS3 because he really wants to play it. If it's got that kind of buzz I Know it must be good. I've been trying to stay away from everything I can about it so that I can do a fresh play through when I finally get it.

I personally feel that the money has been well spent. The control scheme is unlike any I have played and adds a real level of some realism. There is no pause. You want to make a shiv to help? Find duct tape and some scissors. Want to make it? You put your backpack down and craft it. The button layout is not common to many other games but it feels ok after you get used to it. (Not like a Resident Evil Capcom that puts in Special person control schemes just to be different that add NOTHING to the gameplay).

You must be sneaky and Rambo from time to time, sometimes both. You dont have to kill everything there if you can run. You get guns but you get very realistic ammo. You can store materials for your crafting, but you have as much space for everything as you ACTUALLY would in a large yet managable packback. You can pick up a 2x4, that will of course break. You can re-enforce it with a shiv, that will be awesome... once. You will be constantly evaluating your inventory and surroundings for each time you are in duress.

There is a RPG/level-ish element, but you will not have enough to level it all (at least i cant see where you would). I wont spoil any of the story, but thus far, it isnt anything you havent seen or read. I havent won it yet, but with such glowing praise, I am sure that should play well. And as mentioned, it really is beautiful in its ugliness. You forget how the 1080 ps3 vs Xbox can make a dfference.

Anyone remember a game calls Twisted Metal on PS2? Man, we used to play coop for hours back in the day.

I wish a new game similar to that would come out. It would have to have an ice cream truck in it though with an insane clown head on it.

Thumper was cool too.

Did you know how to jump up vertically to get on the ledges? It took us a long time to learn about it, but it was cool once we got on it.

We used to hide in the cave too to finish off the ice cream truck. Man, that truck was a pain in the butt. Scary too being in that cave when it was right outside the entrance..

Yeah, the new twisted metal did not get good reviews. They tried to evolve it into more and did not do well, but I think all the old school co-op fun is still there, would love to play. I loved twisted metal 2. By far one of the most fun co-op games.

An update...

I finished this and I can only say it is now become one of the best story games I have ever played. The story is truly one that builds to give the climax at the end and once it started moving, I found that I couldnt stop playing and finished in the wee hours of what became morning. This is one of those games like Mass Effect, Gears of War 2, Heavy Rain, Fallout (pre-3) etc., that all story based games should be built like and any company that wants to make one should be forced to play. It truly is a game that should be a goal for others to equal.

There were so many portions of the game that just show the care and precision of the developers and you will spend time just...looking around. Every character you can relate to and like (even if you are supposed to hate them), and character development is done in a very solid and complete fashion without a bunch of dialogue and pointless cut screens. But when the game DOES cut screen? You are in it, man. I distinctly remember watching a portion of the story, speaking outloud to the cat appearently, saying "Hell no... HELL NO, No, No, NO!" then the story went exactly where I wanted it to go, and man, was I immersed...

The normal diffiuclty was perfect in that there was challenge without a "false" difficulty increase and every scenario was a great balance for me, where some games can feel too easy on normal and become less realistic with harder difficulties. They nailed it here for me and every death was fair and did not cause me frustration.

If there is a weak point, it is that I do not want to play through it again as the story was so important and immersive, there is no way I would get that experience with another playthrough.

I HIGHLY recommend this game.
