NHL14 had so many positives going for it and then threw this out there.

I rarely played Be a Pro as it was, I don't like this addition at all. I'm not really a fan of playing The Sims inside a hockey game.

I honestly think this is something the game needed, BAP was just normal hockey as a locked player. This adds some depth to the game mode

Interesting, yes. Compelling, no. The system looks horrible. haha. As a non-player of the game, nothing in that video made me want to buy the game. Probably even want it less now if that's possible.

Unless it somehow actively took away from the rest of the game, I don't see what the problem is with it. I never even touched Be A Pro mode in any of the NHL games, have absolutely no interest whatsoever in that kind of mode, but it didn't stop me from buying it.

That's why I said "interesting"... I certainly wasn't expecting it, and I'm notthe kind of person that would shell out $60 for that kind of mode.... It has to entice me in other ways, and "be a pro" mode has been done before in the 'create-a-player' sequence anyway. They're just calling it something else.

Mirrors edge is pretty cool but it can be frustrating as hell. The controls were maddening at times.

I see in comments for Mirrors Edge 2 all sorts of things. Die hard love, and die hard hate. With a splash of it gave me seizures.

I didnt hate mirrors edge 1, I got it in a bundle on steam years ago. I never finished it either. It was a cool concept, it just didnt hold my attention. I played it for awhile, didn't hate it so to speak but it didnt deliver anything that made me want to keep playing.

Purchased Diablo III for the XBOX 360 over the weekend. Decent hack n slash game, plus nice 2-4 player online play.

So far so good. Some nice references to the original Diablo (music, Cain, the Elder).

We got Diablo 3 for PC when it came out. It got boring quick. My son also had issues with his account being hacked through the game server web site. I was disappointed considering all the delays and hype build up to the release last year.

My buddy told me the console version of Diablo is excellent with the new streamlined everything and he did/does a lot of Diablo on PC. He said for Multiplayer you are still going to want the PC version but for single player the Console is great. The redone menus are easy and the new dash roll is a bonus.

for you hockey nerds...

Well this might a feather in the console cap.

There is a trend it seems in PC gaming right now that sucks donkey balls. Releasing obviously incomplete games from major publishers. The 3 I have personally experienced are SimCity, Total War: Rome II, and ARMA 3. SimCity was a **** up since launch and I'm not even referring to the server issues I am talking about the game itself. When it came out too much shit was still broken, 6 months later the game still isn't ironed out completely. It is a lot better but still broken. Rome II was the best of the bunch but it lacks optimization which 50 turns in is very noticeable and there are some AI bugs. And ARMA 3 well they just left a ton of crap out of the launch that will be added later as free DLC so yay but still annoying some features that were cool were left out.

It is a troublesome trend and I might start waiting for the gold or GOTY editions
