Well, this was an interesting discussion but I think we can ALL agree that we'll never see a kid like Kane's true potential if Q doesn't leave him with ONE PAIR OF LINEMATES and let them get accustomed to one another.

Ideally, you get the 2C they've needed, and your top line becomes Sharp-Toews-Kane

2nd line would be Stalberg(?)-2C-Hossa

But without that 2C, loading up Toews Kane and Sharp on one line spreads the talent too thin among the remaining lines.

I wanted Plekanec to start the year and word was that we could have gotten him for Hammer. That would have completely changed the season.

We HAVE to get a 2nd line center.

I never minded Kane at center and I thought he was good there. He didn't score goals like he had before, but he played well there and was much better on defense than he had been in any of the previous years.

he started out good, but it looked as if he began to slump a little bit after awhile...

But with a lot of hard work over the summer and in training camp, he could probably fill the 2C pretty well.

I agree...he was also injured last summer and thrown into a new position, so 2 strikes against him

Yeah. With an injury free summer and already being familiar with playing the position, he could probably become a letter better this summer.
