Sadly, I'd take a prospect for him. But I agree with Pez, off-season discussion.

When Zeus scored it stunned the Wings and Howard, and I knew we could win the game, but more importantly the Wings knew it.

We should have coasted 4-2 or added an empty netter if we'd had 5 players on the ice instead of scrambling around the last 61 seconds.

Oduya's icing the puck was another idiot play. Keep your head in the fucking game, dude!

Ayone else think that after Toews batted the puck down the ice that the Wings player slowed down and icing should have been waved off?

I have to say, I know it's easy to blame Oduya for that and there's no excuse for that play in that situation... but lip reading he said "It's 4-on-4?" and to me, that's something that Quenneville should have discussed on the bench... if he did say something than no excuse for Oduya, but if Q didn't even bring it up I kinda lay some blame on the coaching staff for not informing the players of what they wanted them to do.

Ahh yes, I forgot about Zetterberg being in the box for the tripping call.

You know I'm always ready to pounce on the coaching staff for a **** up, but that's all on Oduya. How you can take the ice and not be aware of the fact that you're at even strength is beyond me.

Stiil, we shoulda been on the PP, instead of scrambling around 4 on 4' the last 98 seconds.

Fuckin' Hossa, hate him, hate him, hate him!

...though that first goal was nice. :)

I agree, but seriously, how could Quenneville not even mention it? Clearly he wasnt on the same page as everyone else... not a single person said anything? Yeah, it's his fault, but that's surprising to me.

You had it right at first. He's a professional. He gets paid to know this shit. ****, only he and bookjones ;-) thought he was killing a penalty.

I think that last 2 minutes was just a case of everyones adrenaline and anxieties going off the charts. An emotional game and period for the guys and I think they let their adrenaline get the best of them there for a short time on visiting ice. No one on the bench or the ice looked like they were talking to each other much. It happens. Luckily nothing horrible came of it.

Why you gotta be singling me and Oduya out for being momentarily hazy? RACIST!

I keed, I keed. Actually your analysis of players and the game is usually, spot on. However, your memory... (I keed once more)

Anyway, like Obama, Oduya's half-caucasian. People forget that. Maybe it was the white half that fucked up!

How's that? :)

Little told stat. Datsyuk and Zetterbeg combined only have 1 goal this series. Doesn't feel like it does it? Lots of talk about how Toews and Kane haven't been filling the net (i've been guilty of that). Not much discussion about the two redwings not potting goals either. Lets hope that the Datsyuk and Zetterberg goose eggs hold up in game 7.

I look at it a different way. See ya Bolland,

Exactly. Never a big fan of his but this season he's a disaster between injuries and flat out sucking. Bickell is my MVP so far this playoffs too. Hopefully the Hawks find a way to resign him and ship out Bolland. Nerves are gone but a lot more up beat than this day last week.

After the Hawks went down 2-1 I saw some Hawks quitting, some not. In the 3rd I think, love him or hate him, Zeus' goal may be the biggest of the year as it ignited us.

We have to stop seeing players quitting when things get though...and we sure as hell have a problem with selfish play. Sharp and Hossa with IDIOTIC penalties late while we are trying to kill clock were terrible.

So much potential in this team...our worst enemy is ourselves.

Amen brother. Up 2 goals on PP and taking stupid penalties? Ridiculous.

Actually Oduya was trying for the empty net and it looked to me like it went off the Wang player trying to block it. Maybe shouldn't have been icing.

I wasn't sure if it hit a Wang or not, but shooting for an empty netter when icing will be the result if you don't put it in is stupid.

The stoopid part of the last 2 minutes was the Hossa tripping penalty. That is what led to the 3rd Wang goal.

Agree Hoss' penalty was stupid, but Oduya thinking were short-handed and icing it or knowing it's 4 on 4 and triyng to score an empty netter which leads instead, to icing, is also stupid.
