Raft was okay. i remember beating it up to that city. not sure if that was the final update or the 2nd to last. Lost my save when i upgraded my rig. IDK what i did with the drive it was on. dont care to look.. anywho would have to start over if I wanted to play it. I remember being bored. im sure ill get bored of sunkenland quick.. resource grind.. and it seems poi enemies dont respawn yet. just learning the game and how to exploit it atm..
Sunkenland is more rust/7d2d.. they gotz sharks too.. dumb sharks, but sharks none the less. AI is meh overall. needs a bigger map, spread out POIs, better graphics etc etc could make this game decent. more intense raids... maybe its cause im early game but the raids on my base are comically bad... Raft is way more polished than this alpha are they gonna abandon this game, but its wasting some time..
i need a green hell, mixed with sunkenland mixed with valheim, mixed with minecraft, mixed with 7d2d...
The raft you want sounds like valheim . i beat 2 or 3 bosses but stopped playing that game. i forget why.. probably work... i need to get back to it one day.
Raft is like an oddly polished proof-of-concept.
Each element of the game is good, but could be further defined to be much better.
I mean **** the game could start you on a Raft and let you build up to a cruise ship or island resort staffed by your NPC workers, and each time you level up or build up too high, the game's director AI throws you a uniquely suited challenge (L4D started this idea)
I quit on 7D2D like 3 or 4 years ago when they did yet another new Alpha release where they OP'd the zombies and made base building much more difficult. I was hoping they'd find their way to a 1.0 release and I could find out if I actually like whatever version they settled on.
Green Hell was one of my favorite survival-horror game experiences of all time, just gr8.
Imagine like the bones of Raft, you start after a boat or plane crash in the ocean near a chain of islands, and when you explore an island (and the story) it becomes like Green Hell Jurassic Park.
You pick up NPC companions and/or lose them depending on your decisions in the story and ability to keep your group alive.
When you reach the ending, you find out only what version of the story your choices allowed you to know, but the game hints at all the places you may have had opportunities to see different outcomes.
I need to get the Raft and Green Hell people into a room lol.
