- Uptown baby!
Well when it comes to profound beefs I HATE willful ignorance the MOST. With bullies coming in a close second.
But more in keeping with this thread and things that are say more every day life/common peeves:
But more in keeping with this thread and things that are say more every day life/common peeves:
- People who park at crosswalks!!!! Arrggh. There's a fucking reason communities have had to spend a lot of cashola on changing crosswalks since the Americans With Disabilities Act damnit. Ya know? Like people in wheelchairs, electric scooters, or with rollers/rollators would like to also be able to cross the goddamn street at the corner safely and SMOOTHLY without having to risk going up or down curbs. D'uh! I have been known to call the police and report a car that's blocking a crosswalk when fucking yuppie hubris thinks it's more important for them to find a weekend spot for a few hours while they attend a concert or party in my hood than it is for someone in a wheelchair having to ride in the goddamn street until the next corner or a driveway because they couldn't get up the curb.
- People who place their money or credit cards on the counter instead of handing it to the cashier. MAJORLY rude I feel---esp. if the cashier is holding out their hand in anticipation. For whatever reason this has always gotten me hot under the collar. When I see it happen I am always hoping the cashier puts their change or card back on the counter instead of handing it back to them all civil like! Do unto others and all that jazz.
- People who who park and block hydrants. See my first bullet. Same principle but for firemen trying to do their goddamn EXTRAORDINARY jobs. Don't think I didn't laugh hysterically once when I saw the Fire Dept. just break right the **** on through someone's car windows to run their hose---BEAUTIFUL!
- The ever-increasing sizes of of those Pull-Ups diaper-briefs hybrids. I would agree that they are brilliant for the potty training days and our parents probably would have appreciated their convenience too but hey should not be making them in sizes for ever larger weight classes IMO and used as some sort of prolonged diaper stage---potty train your damn children people! I am old school about this (pacifier dependence and strollers for non-toddlers too).
