Because somebody's vastly overpaid, we need to trade him? Okay, than everyone on our roster not named Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, Taj Gibson and Omer Asik should be dealt.

That's the way the NBA works. Teams overpay for guys that fit their style. Even with the lockout, owners didn't learn. Look at what Nene got, look at what Chandler, Mark Gasol, etc., got. Are ANY of those guys worth what they're getting paid, Noah included? Absolutely not. To me, there's one elite center in the NBA (Dwight Howard) that should be getting paid the money those other centers are getting. If Noah hadn't been slumping this season, this wouldn't even be an argument.

I'll say it again -- trading Joakim Noah, Luol Deng and whatever other assets for Carmelo Anthony would not bring us any closer to an NBA Championship. The guys we have right now give us our best chance to win. I have faith that, when healthy, this is the best team in the NBA. It's the deepest team in the NBA. It's the best coached team in the NBA with the best fans and best arena in the NBA.

:bullbang: BE PROUD OF THE TEAM WE GET TO ROOT FOR NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT! :bullbang:

Who said I DON'T root for the team night in and night out? I happen to think this team's major weakness is that nobody can create a shot for himself besides Rose. Carmelo is one of the best in the league at that, he does very well under pressure and can handle being the top dog offensively on the big stage.

And Noah is on the next train smoking as far as I am concerned, don't need 65mil worth of regressing center when the backup outperforms him fairly regularly.

I'm not disagreeing about Carmelo's offensive ability. In terms of pure scorers, there aren't too many other guys in the NBA that can match him with overall diversity.

However, losing Deng's overall impact, Noah's expected impact on defense and his passing ability, plus the other assets we'd certainly have to give up to just add Anthony doesn't seem like a positive move. And when you consider our lack of true front court depth, it scares me even more.

I expect Melo to return to form...and the lack of frontcourt depth may be a result of 150mil at the 4 and 5. Are they worth it? I hope so, but I know they are not now.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. Carmelo Anthony is a great player. Deng and Noah are good players who also happen to be overpaid (Deng is justifying it this season though). As much as I've been disappointed with Noah and Deng (in the past). I still would not have dealt them for Carmelo, last year or now.

Hou will always defend the so-called superstars. He even criticized lebron's offensive game (something he will kill you for if you do it), just to prop up Melo.

I like Melo just fine, but he wouldn't be a great fit for THIS team. It doesn't seem like he's a good for his CURRENT team either. He's nothing more than a black hole these days. Add that to his complete lack of defense and how is he supposed to help this team again?

I'm gllad people here are smart enough to appreciate the things the Luol and Joakim (when he's playing his game) bring to this team.

And I am glad people can disagree with me without psychoanalyzing and critiquing WHY I say what I say, or looking for some type of pattern in my statements. They just give their opinions and I give mines. Talking about what I "always do" makes you sound like a nagging wife. Get over it already and give your opinion for pete's sake. And by the way, your psychoanalysis is wrong Glide2Freud.

What exactly is Noah bringing to the team? I know you like him because he screams, beats his chest and "has good hair" but I am talking basketball.

Quit falling in love with players based on uniforms, and fall in love with winning. You have a losing mentality to the game because you look at the players the way my girlfriend or mother looks at them and not the way an experienced fan would look at it. As I have explained to you before...this ain't the WWE.

I stopped thinking the way you think over 20 years ago when they let Doug Collins go. Some on this forum are smart enough to know that Deng and Noah are NOT superstars! And were of no help to Derrick Rose against the Miami Heat when he needed help offensively. And the best defensive frountcourt player the Bulls had in the playoffs was Omer Asik, not Noah and his brand new bloated contract. Deng is a good player who suffered injuries and was unfairly criticized for it by many on these forums, especially BG lovers, but he was always expendable. Its pretty sad that over the years he really never improved his floor game. Dude still can't dribble.

And Noah is getting paid 15mil per year and playing like old ass PJ Brown...and you defend that? Again, these are not superstar players...I root for them to play well, I hope they win whatever moves they make. I like some moves, I dislike others, but I don't fall in love with players over the team. What is best for the team is what is best in my idea.

But then again, it doesn't matter how good they are, they are "YOUR SUPERSTARS" aren't they? How cute...

No, Freud as in Sigmund Freud...just tired of dude having to constantly put me on a proverbial couch and telling people what I "always do" and how I think before giving his opinion on my opinion.

Dude, did you not launch verbal assaults at anyone who dared critique lebron saying his offense was limited?

But you do it, and it's fine because it helps your point in propping up Melo. I'm just pointing out some slight hypocrisy on your part. Any time anyone said anything abut lebron, you came in cape flapping in the wind to tell us how wrong we were.

Just saying, be consistent man. Don't move the goal posts when it fits your argument.

You usually are wrong...but like you said, you don't care about the accuracy of your statements...those are your opinions, no matter how erroneous your thinking may be. I still think Lebron is the best player in the league and the most talented player the league has ever seen. But I never said he was flawless, I pointed out his inabilities in the past, especially after the finals.

Where were you when that happened? Still blaming the refs for the Bulls getting their asses kicked? And I have said over and over and over again for months now that Carmelo has the most complete offensive game in the league. Was saying it before you showed up. He can score adeptly from just about everywhere. He can handle the ball well and he can shoot the ball well. Do I think he is a better player than Lebron? No. That is a different question. I think he can score in more ways than Lebron can. Period.

What the heck is so hard to understand about that? You hate Lebron...because he is better than Rose? Because he showboats? But you love Noah...who showboats and screams like a caveman but isn't nearly as effective. OK!

So, you didn't attack posters for saying anything about lebron? Got it. You only acknowledged that lebron had flaws in his game, only after the Finals. Not before. Don't be a revisionist.

I never questioned his scoring. His defense and ability to lead a team and not be a black hole cancer is my concern with him. That and the fact that he doesn't make teams better. The Denver Nuggets are better without him and the Knicks are worse with him.

I don't hate lebron because he's better than Rose. I'd have to think he's better than Rose in order to hate him for and I don't think that. Not because he doesn't play for my team, but because I never liked lebron period. He has all the talent and none of the heart. And if you hadn't been paying attention, Noah pumping himself up is way different than dancing on the sidelines while a game is going on, or taking fake pics before the game and walking off after you lose and not shaking hands or acknowledging the winner. I hate lebron because he was given the key to the jaguar without ever having to earn it.

The hype and fanfare that Rose gets was earned, because he worked hard and didn't shy away from the big moment. Can't say the same for lebronze.

I rest my case...when you have watched as much basketball as you claim to have watched, worked at Chicago Stadium for 10 years and now 40 years old...you should have a more mature outlook on the talent around the league...

"He sucks because I don't like him" (you did the same with Rondo) is a juvenile way to look at sports in my opinion. I hated Isiah Thomas...hated him. Don't care for him much now...but I know where he stands in the league history...or at least I can form an unbiased opinion of his accomplishments. You should try that sometime...

Lebron is one of the most skilled players ever play the game. But the fact that he is considered the best player ever from day 1 without proving anything make him one of the most hated players ever.Media are to blame for this.Happens easily when media try to influence people's minds.

When people hear that someone is THE BEST EVER,the greatest and stuff like that they expect to see someone that can take the ball and score in every situation. He can't.He is not that good.He can't dribble everyone in front of him and make a winning play.Kobe can,Rose can,Durant can,Wade can.He can't.So that's why they hate all this hype about him.
