Here is something else to think about. All the pressure now goes to Cleveland. Nobody will expect the Cubs to comeback. All the talk will be on them, no longer the underdog. How will they handle that pressure? It's not like the Indians have won it lately either.

I am black out drunk, I want to see Zobie run up to the mound with bat in hand and pull a Negan on Miller.

Clearly you are a closet Cardinals fan.

With how they've swung the bat tonight, I doubt he makes solid contact.

Does anyone else think Jay Cutler could be an elite starting pitcher? He's got the 'stuff', ya know?

Man rondon has been awful the past 6 weeks.

Mgmt should approach the offseason with zero confidence in him as the closer.....its a huge hole next year but chapman/jansen are f/a

I would take Jansen in a heartbeat. Do you think he has more upside than Chapman since he can go for more innings? Or would you rather just have that one trick pony whose one trick is really, really, good?

Just tryn to lighten the mood. You guys seem defeated and it's sad to read.

I appreciate that. thx, The person probably that has had the worst night though is Vaughn singing the stretch... I feel real bad for Vince... That had to suck...

" Hey cub fans, we suck, A one, A two, A three, Take me out to the ball game......"

"...... We're getting our ass kicked... Now lets get some runs!"

Brutal.

Yes, our rotation to end it looks nice, but the offense..... The offense, man. It needs to do something. Anything.

Well...at least it's Bauer who has been awful this post season

But with Ross starting beacuse of lester it leaves another huge back of the lineup hole if he runs the same group out there with baez/russell/heyward/ross/lester

I think he HAS to sit baez for coglhan or soler (neither of whom have done much but Baez has been awful)

I'm not defeated. Never give up, never surrender.

I do find it quite annoying that there is a very real possibility of watching the only two teams I want to win, lose in the championship. What's worse? Would be 2 of the 3 losses in this city in like 14 championship trips since 63.

Would everyone say they've honestly had fun watching this series overall? This series had all the makings of a classic but just from a purely "fun to watch" perspective I think it has been a dud. Hardly any sustained drama at all. Only one team has pretty much looked like they belong here. I think a World Series is better when both teams come out fired up and ready to go.
