Depends what your definition of "betraying the indianhead" means. It happens on these boards almost daily by some standards.

Not like Chelios. And he has instances AFTER he left, such as the picture above.

I remember Wilson doing something and wearing the Indian Head while he was the GM of the Sharks.

By simple decisions Chelios could have avoided all of this but he chose not to make those. SO he can live with it.

Did Probert ever put on a Red Wing jersey again? I know when the 2 teams played...he said he was rooting for Chicago

Not game day related but while on the subject of pictures, how about the Stanley Cup banner night picture on the ST holders holiday greeting card. All suit and ties in the front row with McDick right next to Lord Stanleys Cup. Should the players be in the front row or is this no big deal? To me its just more of McD just saying "look what I did"

Pisani is back tonigh, right? With Johnson and Pisani we have 1 more forward than we've had. So that leaves Hendry or Scott to move back to D. I really don't know why it was Cullimore and not Boynton. Unless they knew in advance that Boynton would be claimed and Cullimore wouldn't.

All the fucking better!!!!

I know he's making league min. and I know the team's fortunes don't rest on Boynton in the scheme of things, but if I have to keep watching him play D like a blind man trying to cross the street I may thow myself from 324.

For the record, I dont think they should be doing this when the play the Wings....it's kind of "riling" everyone/everything up. But...it's hockey - so who knows. Maybe thats the point...and in some ingenius way, McD knows he's going to get booed/lit up...and it'll fire the crowd up or get some sort of buzz. Maybe circle the ambulance around the stadium a few times, turn the sirens on.....

I'm really indifferent to the whole honoring thing. I think the guy was pretty good as a Hawk, NHLer, Olympian, etc...a few claps, drop the puck....isnt a big deal to me if they did/didnt. Same with Olczky last year.

Hanging the jersey's or that "ring of honor" thing, is a different story though.

Yea I think he did something in Detroit a few years later wearing the Wing Jersey. Chelios easily could have put the Indian Head on for the picture above. And not once again made an ass out of himself. He "chose" not too.

He will go into the HHOF as a Wing. 3 Cups and none in Chicago.

Sucks he'll be wearing #7 tonight. #7 plays for us on the Ice.

And I agree with you he was a great player when he was a Hawk. Had the "Side Show Bob" shit not happened, who knows.

Top 2-3 American born players without question. Probably should have won a Cup with the Hawks, but not for one of the best teams in the History of the NHL.

See that's where i feel different. To me Chelios will always be #7 and JR is always #27, it actually kinda bothered me to have Morin wear 27. Not enough to even say anything but when I see that number I think JR.

I was a little kid and these guys were the big guns of Chicago. I remember playing the shit out of NHL 95 on Sega with JR, Cheli, Suter, Carney, Weinreich, Shantz, Poulin, Goulet, Amonte, Belfour, Hackett, I think Larmer or might have been Graham, which it was their numbers were bad in the game so they were forgotten.

Neither of those players did anything in those jersey's to warrant them being retired. I have no problem with either of the current players wearing them. Especially Seabrook since he accomplished something Chelios never did in Chicago. And could very well do it again at some point.

Stu, I think you are secretly a red wing lover. Probert = ex-wing. Grimson = ex-wing. Hmmmm

Rk you are arguing with childhood hero type shit. It is an unwinnable argument. I'm pulling a Kerfuffle.

In all honesty do either jerseys deserve to hang from the rafter no they don't but to me those numbers belong to those guys.

Seabrook accomplished a team thing that Chelios never got and Chelios accomplished an individual thing that Seabrook never will.

Yeah you're right, it probably was foolhardy to compare the two since one is won as a team and the other is the individual on his own volition. Moreso when a guy who plays one Finals game has his name on the Cup. Obviously this isn't the case with Seabrook, but true nonetheless.

As far as who #7 belongs to more, Seabrook can't hold Chelios' jock when is comes to playing in the Indianhead. Yet. Cup or no Cup. Of course Seabrook still has a whole career ahead of him and I sincerely hope that changes.

Seabrook is not a complete ****** either. Just sayin.

And if you think winning the Norris a sole individual trophy your cracked. Keith doesn't win it last year without Seabrook as his partner. And if you doubt that I just suggest you ask him yourself the next time you see him.

Just as Chelios NEVER wins it without the team around him. So in a sense your Lesser TROPHY is somewhat a TEAM trophy as well.

I do understand why people like him. I'm pretty sure I will not cheer, nor will I boo. I will just patiently wait for the GAME to start.

Is that an opfficial Blackhawks photo? Cheli and his Detoilet jersey look "shopped" IMO.

The Cheli hate isn't worth the time or effort. He was a great NHL player and certainly will be in HHOF 1st ballot, just won't be as a Blackhawk. If Management wants to give him a night for the 9 years he played in the Indianhead so be it. Just don't expect me to cheer for ******.

As for tonights game just win dammit. Good nights for our core player please and thankyou.

In the "Official photo" I believe he put a Hawks Jersey over the flying tire. I have a copy of that print and he has a Hawks Jersey in his hands and is scrunching it up to pull it on.

He is Scum to me though. He though so little of our cup run last year that he attended a regular season Tigers game that started an hour before game 1 of the SCF rather than watch the Hawks. He is Judas.
