Would people be interested in checking on group tickets to the thrashers game? Or would you all like to fly solo?

Delta Delta Delta flies around $150 one way typically out of O'Hare as does United, I believe. I wouldnt be surprised to see if the flight was $350-$400 round trip.

As for Southwest, they don't fly into Atlanta.

Also check on the rates for AirTran, I think they do like $70 one way fares if you book it early enough.

Atlanta is AirTran's principal hub.

We're expecting a baby in Feb so my road trips will be limited. We decided to do Columbus in October. We're going to drive out on Thursday and stay the whole weekend. For those that havent been there, Columbus is a very friendly place for a game. Last year half the stadium was in Hawks sweaters. Also a great local area around the arena for eating/drinking/wandering.

Anyone ever do a west coast trip? I want to do LA and Anaheim (30 min drive from one to the other), and then head north up the coast to San Jose. Would be a fun 3 games.

Used to live out in Cali for 26 years, but oddly enough, never went to a game at the Tank before.... Since this is a yearly conference match, though, I can hold off on that one for a bit.

Out West, the trips are fun, the seats are many, the beers are overpriced, and the fans are as ignorant as they can get. All in all, though, its a fun time.

Just about right.... Difference between out West and the Loo is the space.

In St Louis, there's hardly much room to get out of the building, and poorly made as a result. Last I counted, with the exception of the emergency exits, there's only 3 exits (and they're tiny) in the Loo that I counted out of the entire building... Smart move to build the arena smack next to an opera house that hasn't been in use for over 10 years.

Anaheim has 6 exits and LA has the same amount.

I hear you.

Not much of a surprise the opera house there hasn't been used in 10 years. Can you imagine opera in St. Louis? Billy Ray Cyrus meets Pavarotti.

I don't think even Pavarotti would visit, that is if he were still alive.

I have the picture somewhere, but I found that to be the oddest thing about the arena. I've never seen an arena smacked next to another building that hasn't been used in years, but I decided on taking the picture as a result of the oddity...
