Dear Brett Jackson,

Please get better.

He's not hurt, just striking out a LOT.

In related news, Zeke DeVoss is quickly becoming one of my favorite Cubs prospects. The total lack of power is concerning, but the guy is ridiculous on the base paths. Going into today's game he has been on base 11 times and has attempted 10 stolen bases making 8 of them successfully. If he is able to play 2B, that would be a real interesting double play combo batting 1-2 in four years.

Welington Castillo and Brett Jackson homered. Good signs. Or else the pitcher they're facing just likes throwing batting practice.

It seems Welington Castillo is injured. No clue what happened.

The Cubs promote catcher Steve Clevenger from Double A to Triple A and placed catcher Welington Castillo on the DL.

Why does Vitters suck so bad?

Unable to recognize pitches and the sweet swing doesn't seemed to have developed the power that some projected as a high schooler.

I don't think the question is can Brett Jackson hit for a little power (certainly not when playing in the PCL), but rather can he get below striking out once every fourth at bat. Once he does that then I am more inclined to let Jackson play up here.

Sounds like the problem for most of Cub players/ minor leaguers

Yes and no. Brett Jackson isn't allergic to walks like most Cubs prospects which is why the strikeouts aren't such a big problem. However, it is still an issue and the only real hangup I think for him coming up. Him going yard is a good sign, but I am more interested in seeing the K rate drop.
