Do the Hawks have to make a move to free a roster space for Morrison?

and that's going to be interesting. Gms always talk during the all star break. Soooo lets see how the space is created. Or its just smith going back to the farm? Does that do it?

Anyways. I think you guys got me wrong. Im not talking about Morrison being a locker room cancer..that's not going to happen on this club with our captain and coach. Im talking about Morrison simply being a prick off the ice. My experiences with him and from what others have said about him is he's an ego maniac and not a very likable person. Whatever...hopefully he's changed. Hopefully that was just Vancouver making players assholes as it often is.

There are going to be a few moves after this weekend. We will see if any are going the hawks way.

I have been thinking if this is the same guy that scored against us in game one the playoffs in 2008-2009. I could be wrong but did he not score a goal or two in game one?? Or am I thinking of someone else.

Im starting to think Gleason will not end up here, but Luke Shenn and Ruttu will.

This is my opinion.

One thing is becoming more and more clear to me. Tallon had a way of producing a team of talent and personalities. That was very apparent by the team winning Lord Stanley.

I do not see that with the Bowman's. I see a gathering of talent, our average age has to be dramatically higher then during our Cup run, but not the team chemistry. It just feels like a hodge podge of players in a melting pot. Purely my perspective from the outside.

I agree with you IHF. Even our 3rd and 4th line guys had great chemistry. It seems after the core guys we've been playing "throw it on the wall and hope it sticks".

You don't bring him in if he's going to be your 4th line center... Mayers has done the job all year and done it well.

Why not? It wasn't as if Morrison is a 2nd line center anymore. Kruger has played well so far this season, why waste him on the 4th line?

Again, if we aren't going to give these young guys quality minutes to develop then put them in the AHL. Like we should have done with Barker.

Hayes will see ice for the hawks again. Pretty foolish trade off though if this is why Hayes was sent down. Going to miss Hayes work ethic and young energy. Morrison isn't going to give the hawks that youth fight. Way to reward hard working kids who have produced. Bad move.

They are rewarding him with a chance at more icetime and ability to develop more instead of getting 5 shifts a period and not room to grow with PP time.

Nobody ever ruined a prospect by giving him time to develop. Plenty of guys have stalled in their careers because they didn't get a chance to develop more.

What? He's been pretty invisible the last three games. His reward was to get a call up and a shot with the big club.

Disagree it's a bad move and hopefully theyll find a place for Bickell and his drive will bring him back.

Hayes doesn't need ahllager seasoning he needs pro mintuses to get to the next step. There is also an issue of having a kid spend too much time in the ahl. Full development doesn't occurs until you get into the nhl on a more full time basis no matter what line and how many minutes you play.

As long as Hayes isn't buried in the ahl for too long Im fine with it. But if anyone thinks Morrison is a better option prepare to be disappointed. I honestly think Morrison is going to be a giant flop. We will see Hayes again in no time. I have zero positive feelings about Morrison.

Last year it was minimum Cap space for ANY extra's added to the core. This year they added some skill and money that became available. Remind me how many years our Cup team skated together before winning the Cup to gain that chemistry?

Again Stan grade so far, with Cap issues to start, has really not been that bad. Luckily someone left him with massive talent to work with.

Disagree 100%. He's a rookie and Rockford will only further develope him.

Hayes isn't a Center.

Your dislike for Morrison is going to make you over critical from the start. On any aspect. Just the way it is.

Half the team has been invisible the last 3 games. Not buying that one. Let me know when frolik decides to produce more than he has. And i know i know..he plays decent defense. Wooopadeee dooooo. Hayes does also.

Sorry Im in a pissy mood today. I should walk away. But i like being a dick sometimes.

The other rookie was skating all over the place the last three games. So much he was rewarded with TOI. And I can handle it, bring it. Beatoff!

It's easy to be noticed when you're getting 20 min of ice time compared to 10. He got the short end of the stick during his entire call-up. He played well... not sure what this non-sense is about being invisible.

Maybe invisible isn't the correct word. Sassone said it best, and it will not hurt him going down.

It won't hurt him, but I think this was the plan the entire time he was up with the big club. He never really had much of a chance in an offensive role, still produced though. To me it looked like he received the Jack Skille treatment, but oh well, hopefully next year he has a better chance.

Now I may be saying something controversial. And I may be totally wrong, but I haven't been impressed with Kruger. Shaw seems much stronger on his skates. Frankly I would rather keep Mayers as fourth line center, Kruger just seems too soft in his own zone.
