Well Jeff Carter wants out of Columbus apparently. His cap hit is steep at 5.2 but my god would our team be stacked. For now I'd say pass on him though.

on one hand, he's disruptive, and a partier who couldn't get the message (over and over again) to stop. on the other hand, he plays center, which could move Kane back to wing (though he's amazing in the middle anyway)

Stalberg-Toews-Hossa

Sharp-Carter-Kane

Smith-Bolland-Frolik

Carcillo-Kruger-Mayers

that's pretty sexy though... pass

Pretty much what I was thinking, would be fucking un real, and probably really help the PP, but pass. Then again, having pictures of him and Kane drinking Kokanee in a limo with some ugly girls shirtless would drive the media wild again.....hahah that was probably the best story ever to come out about the Hawks.

Seeing that the Flyers couldn't wait to dish him off and he is already becoming a diva in Columbus not even having played a handful of games there yet he can go **** himself.

Somethings up with that guy and I wouldn't him anywhere near this team if the rumors of him being a real dick head are true. This team always does well with good character players no matter what their skill set it. This team has never done well with hot headed douchebag divas no matter how good their skill sets are.

Anyways...Who said anything about the Hawks wanting to or dedicating themselves to spending money just because Olesz has packed his bags? As long as our record is tops in the league this team really doesn't have to push any trade buttons at the moment. Do they?

Olesz was first star in tonights Ice Hogs game with 2 points (G, A) and the shootout winner.

Ben smith plays 3 less minutes than John Scott tonight.

What was the point of bringing Smith up again? I love the kid, but give him some fucking ice time!

Smith has to earn it. I don't really get this love affair with Smith so many seem to have. He scored 3 goals and one forced a game 7 in the playoffs and all of a sudden he's the next coming who will put everything at place on the Hawks. I am not bagging on the kid, but c'mon, some perspective. I'd temper my expectations to what Smith can bring. That said, I do hope he replaces Bickell.

I never said Stålberg is great, just that the hate he gets is overblown.

Maybe this is the wake up call I posted might happen when said player was demoted to AHL.

Amazing what happens when your livelihood becomes threatened and you need to showcase yourself.

perhaps, though maybe he is getting more than 8 minutes a night, and not playing on a line with John Scott.

Amazing what happens when your linemates can skate backwards.

John Scott was playing D when Olesz was in the line up.
