Frolik?

Bickell?

yeah well, both are very young, and at least Bickell is making league minimum. Who knows, maybe the Bickell-Bolland-Frolik line will dominate in the playoffs again.

Well the only contract other than Froliks extension that fucks us is Montedor. All others were one year contracts. Probably with the CBA in mind. Remember it's very likely the Cap is going down. I'd bet they are banking on that.

But by his moves or lack there of today he says this team is not a Cup contender. That, IMO is very sad. Now the team has the talent they could prove him wrong but will they? Will Q allow it? Without playing monkey on the lines.

Like Kruger as th #1 Center and Bolland not up there while JT is out. Q is the biggest problem this team has ATM.

I'm wondering what Bolland ever did to Quenville.

and Montedor got a fucking NTC. Does Stan hand these out like Candy?? I remember saying that because of Dale, not a single Hawks player had a NTC.

like Zach Parise or Shane Doan? Face it, we don't sign a #2 center unless it's for big money, big years, and we will all hate the deal a year or two after it's made.

I'm looking more or less at the defensemen available.

Brad Stuart, Grossman, O'Brien, Sarich, Jackman. We could use some tough defensemen that play stay at home defense.

Stoll, Boyes, Grabovski, Hudler, Jokinen all could make decent 2nd line centers.

Jokinen?? as in the flames Jokinen?? **** no

Grabovski is a locker room cancer, no to him too

Boyes, he seems to take a season off, every 2-3 years.

And even still, none of thse players would be cheap.

its pretty simple. one of two people in this org has to go (well 2 actually but mcdonut isnt going anywhere). Q and Stan do not work well together and are on complete opposite pages. Its been obvious for a while now.

Q will be gone in the offseason. Stan gets his choice of coaches and then all this bs power struggle ego shit can calm down for a while.

that means Havi goes too (Kitch also thank god). Stans picking a coach outside the org. and that coach will pick his team. That's going to be his biggest finger print up to the date.

Go from before.... Quincy, Gill, Vermette.... Theres many more. Can't tell me he couldn't have made a better offer to the Jackets than the Coyotes did. They got Vermette for nothing.

Stan sucks. He had ZERO experience before he took the job and has just as much now. His Daddy got him the job and even HE wasn't a very good GM. Instead the guys that knew what they were doing in Dudley and Tallon were sent packing.

Smithson, Wolski, neither great players but both better than Frolik, Florida got them for nothing.

Again Zero experience and probably Zero GMs that would deal with him unless he over paid. Grudges go deep, thankyou Mcdonough.

Actually I just counted. Hawks were at 48 contracts without the signing of Morrison and Hutton. Which put them at 50, the Max.

They were at the limit.

Capgeek has all the contracts listed for NHL teams. The Hawks are currently at 48 contracts. They have room for TWO contracts. Scott was #49. They still had room for one more addition. They were not at the limit and I'm not sure where that is coming from.

Columbus wouldn't have traded Vermette to a division team.

I agree with Gill, Vermette and Quincey. I don't know if offers were made, but I truely think Bowman doesn't believe this is our year. Talent wise, we have a pretty fucking good team, but there are in such a bad funk a major shake up is more then likely needed.

Why? They only play the Hawks one more time? They traded him in the conference. I don't buy that. they were sellers. They trade for the future.

Capgeek does not have Mclean on the rostered spots nor do they have Carlsson which would make 50 had they included them.

I'm pretty sure we were at the limit. Thus he could not waive a player unless he knew they'd be taken on waivers he had to rid the team of the contract. Or I'm sure he'd have kept Scott.

Capgeek lists all the guys on the Hawks that have NHL contracts. I've never known them to be inaccurate. I would trust their site over the Blackhawks' site to be perfectly honest.

Trev just added two above you. I'd go by the Hawks site on that one, I'm sure they know who they have under contract.

For a 5th round pick? I'd trade Scott in a heartbeat as well. Shit Florida got Smithson for a 6th rounder and he plays a regular shift (I believe you already mentioned this, so disregard for your sake if you did).

I'm not upset Scott was traded, I'm upset he did nothing to fill the holes that would have possibly given this a team a chance at the Cup. I think the team has the talent right now, but the glaring holes at D and C could have been addressed. Theres no telling what happens when the playoffs come with guys like we have on our team. That said he showed ZERO faith in them and did nothing to give them encouragement.

Instead to me the message he sent was "you aren't a Cup Contender and we aren't doing anything".

Good message to send Stan boy.
