Hicks is not anything close to a star. But in this Dline would be a huge upgrade and solid. I/m just thinking it will take Danny T money atleast (more) to get it done

Hicks is a lil step above Jarvis Jenkins if you are comparing careers statistically. Hicks is also a year younger but has one more year of NFL expierence than Jenkins does. 2013-14 Showed Hicks' potential, but 14 was a declining year and Hicks hasnt shown much since. He got three starts in NE last year and really didn't do anything until the end of the year when Hicks logged in a few solid games as a rotational guy.
If Jarvis is worth 2 mil, Hicks should be 3 Mil/PA based on past production. However, a teams desperation and Hicks "Potential" may yield him more, somewhere in the 4-7 MIL/PA range.

There is precious little available in FA right now for the DL on a 3-4 defense.

Hicks biggest problem is his motor. He doesn't fully go all the time. I had huge hopes for him with the Saints. He would flash being a very good player then disappear for stretches of the season.

I fully expect the Bears to be double dipping in this draft and getting two d lineman.
Perfect draft strategy with this deep class. Could see 2 DL in the first 3 picks I think.
