I was thinking the same thing and he's also been in some off the field problems like that fight he got into on a beach and was hitting people with his belt and i think a girl got hit but i'm pretty sure he's a LBer.

Even if we don't sign Hicks we will sign another DLinman and will also draft one so while i would like it to be Hicks that we sign i'm not too worried about us not signing someone else if it's not Hicks.

I suppose if you ended up signing him you could have both he and Houston rotating between DE and OLB as they are both big enough to play DE in a 3-4 but you probably wouldn't want them spending all of their time there.

I never saw an official meeting, just that they were going to meet Friday, and then Sat. Never heard that they actually had the meeting, however. It still seems a little hush, hush to me. I'm not sure if that could be a good sign.

What I am saying is that the free agent pool is pretty thin at this point. If you miss on Hicks, you are going to struggle to find another starting calibre player that is not in his mid 30s.

Yeah, I saw that too. I saw a lot of "will meet with" articles, but as I said, nothing concrete that he actually had the meeting. Hopefully, the Bears made him a good offer and then after he goes to Detroit, he chooses the Bears. A young, veteran 5 tech would be a great addition for Vic's defense going into the draft.
