what we dont know is closed door stuff. he is willing to waive ntc but im sure he has a list of teams he would prefer. only logical destinations for him and his family are: chw, clev, det, tor, pitt, cincy, stl

He's also stated he wants to win. Something else we don't know is whether he'd move away from his family for 4 months for a shot at a WS Ring.

I could see a team like Baltimore look to acquire Dempster as a push to shore up the AL east (provided they are still in it at the time). They have been rumored to be in the market for a quality SP, and with such a deep farm system, they look to be an ideal trade candidate.

Go :cubs:!

Someone like Jonathan Schoop would be reasonable.

That headline doesn't match up with what the article says

Several contenders, including the Yankees and Dodgers, covet Dempster, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Two scouts at today's game said the Yankees prefer Garza to Dempster, David Kaplan reports

Len & Bob were saying it was widely speculated that today would be his last Cubs start? Did I miss something because AFAIK around the All-Star Break was the time... and that is a month away.

he is on fire. the best time to trade him is now. you dont want to risk injury or have him start pitching shitty and lose all value. im sure the yanks will overpay for him.

prediction:yankees

I wouldn't take a single player for Sale. Probably not any two players for Sale

Humber and Floyd prevent you from bringing up prospects too early

and yet you fail to see the point..

What pitching prospects do the Cubs have to bring up?

waiting for it..

waiting for it..

waiting for it..

waiting for it..

waiting for it..

waiting for it..

hmmmm

wonder if he'll get the point of rebuilding..

We actually have to get good young players back for two established pitchers.. Sooo... odds are no matter how much Sox people want Demp and or Garza.. It isn't gonna happen.

The White Sox have little to nothing to offer the Cubs for what Theoyer wants in return.
