Yeah. Was at the Seattle game. That loss was from the head coach on down. Soder ahould have been pulled at goal 5 and Zaitsev needs to be demoted to the Indy Fuel. Whole team looked like 20 strangers playing together. No cohesion. No gameplan, no passion, no pride, no drive. Couple of good passes by Bedard and Vlassic looked okay but the bulk of the game was mailed in.

The team looked like a prolapsed, puckered asshole that took a brutal pounding from Peter North.

In other news, the arena was nice; my bro says a lot like Minnesota's. They did a good job on renovation; last time I caught a Tbirds game there, it sucked like Pamela Anderson at a Motel 6 with obscured sight lines. Lot of'hawks fans represented. Local fans were chill. They had a band there that sucked; it's like they were not good enough for the cover band casino circuit, so the Kraken hired them. The organist was good; he didn't play Lady of Spain.

I'm actually sort of glad they didn't pull him at 5 because the game was so bad that I would hate for any of that to rub off on Mzark

I think the chamge needed to happen mostly to wake up the skaters. Soder wasn't good in any stretch of the imagination, but the skaters sucked the sweat off of the balls of a brass monkey--especially Zaitszev. I mean, the team sucks, but they looked worse than usual.

The fact that there wasn't really a bounce back after an intermission or any real passion drive or playing for pride? That's on LR.

I mean.... At least they kept it close and didn't give up. Mrazek had some unreal saves especially the blind stick jab.

I hadn't realized this

"For the fifth time in the last six games, the Hawks scored first, a run that started with Foligno’s opening goal against the Nashville Predators, and he struck again Sunday."

And then this

"In three of those five games in which the Hawks scored first, the opposition responded with at least three goals during the remainder of the game."

Yeah the shutdown game needs a lot of work.

I'm not so surprised about the second part and giving up a lot of goals I guess I just surprised that somehow we had gotten that many first goals. Almost like other teams were looking at the Hawks as an easy win and didn't come out swinging but once they took the lead they decided to actually play. Like when you're playing your little brother in horse and he goes up a letter to somehow.

I still like seeing them win, I was rooting for one last night. Mrazek was insane. Reichel was great. Blackwell made the most of his call-up, loved that monstrous check on MacKinnon at the end of the game. I thought the Hawks had no chance going into this game, especially with their blue line, but they held up against a powerhouse. I really like Phillips, not only his play, but how he stuck up for Blackwell at the end of the game; kid's not afraid to push back.

That was actually a great game last night. Great pace, by both teams. It was refreshing to see. That 1st unit PP is rough though.

When they scored first then Colorado came back and scored 2 I thought.... Here we go again but that Bedard to Reichel snipe was awesome.
