I wonder if struggling in OTAs could be considered a learning experience for a rookie QB?

All the “greats” were perfect in OTA’s.

It's just OTAs and I'd say the same thing if CW was looking like a god. I honestly hope he doesn't always look like a god early in camp either. That is when he should test the edges of the envelope vs a pro D.

I've seen great camps have bad seasons and vice versa. Just try not to make the same mistake twice and do whatever you need to do to get the furthest along before the season.

No one knew how great Mahomes would be. No one knew he was going to be probably the best ever. But you should have known Justin Fields was going to be awful after his second year. Everyone deserves a rookie year of growth and development. But there should be obvious signs of greatness minimally in year two. Hell even Trubisky looked like the guy in year two.

But the way people STILL fight for Justin Fields is just baffling.

Nobody knows how great anyone is going to be at the NFL level. Hence why you should tone down your judgment of others. You've been wrong about bad players, good players, and great players.

No way man if he doesn't do what Justin Fields did in the first preseason game 3-3 129 yards and 2 touchdowns that will set the tone for the entire season just like it did for Fields.

Mention Kizer all you like - it's not unfair, and I wanted the bears to go Adams - Kizer in 2017 for what it is worth. But you have just as many bad takes as many others on here and yet you find yourself in the middle of more crud, and I think it comes down to how you respond.

Fields was literally trapped on a roster trying to get the #1 overall pick. If Justin Fields was potentially half as good as the fans of his on this board believe he would have been far more in demand in the trade market and would have gone for a much higher pick.

There are so many fundamental flaws to his game that exist outside of the excuses people make for his failures in Chicago that he won't ever succeed the way people think he will.
