I agree, I am the guy who watches sitcoms on dvd years after they come out and don't watch much of this stuff anymore. I am an old 35.

When I hear someone using LOL or OMG or BRB or TTYL in actual spoken conversations I wanna slap their face right off their face.

I'm Laughing (but not out loud). I do this sometimes, especially BRB, but only as a way of making fun of it.

I just feel as though inserting Brewer into the starting lineup and having McGrady run the 2nd unit would have definitely helped the Bulls.

Help them do what exactly? They are not closer to beating Miami or Boston with McGrady. But a young athletic talent who just might fulfill his potential should be what they look at. That is why JR Smith, Mayo and Casspi even, may be better alternatives.

I can't disagree with this, but I'm still not sold on Smith though.

Casspi would be the third SF on the Bulls' active roster. You already know how I feel about Smith. Guys like Mayo and Curry are legitimately great players. Though I think that Curry isn't strong enough to guard the Wade's, and Bryant's of the NBA...

I understand the ship has sailed. But are you honestly saying that you would rather have Casspi or Smith for a much higher price than McGrady? Come on... that doesn't make sense...

It is not like he is a bad player; he is one of the better players in the league still. And he definitely would have been a step up from Bogans.

Hell, even grabbing Mayo or Curry is pretty far fetched. For the sake of argument, let's say Chicago has a good chance. Even if they did (sure, CHI would be a better team if we got them for little-to-nothing) but CHI still wouldn't be title favorites...

Are you kidding me? Wouldn't be favourites if we got a borderline all star for nothing? People are massively under rating where this team is at. If Chicago had Curry they're easily the favourites to win it all. They might even be favourites if you just add a good role player like Afflalo. You look at point differential and the Bulls are within a point and a half of the best teams. You can make up a whole point of that by just replacing the pathetic shooting of Bogans and having someone who can play basketball take those.

Add Noah to this team, add in someone who can do more offensively than shoot open threes at a pretty pedestrian rate in the SG position and it's the best team in the league. The defense is there, it just needs the final piece to get a little more offensively and we can talk about a real chance of a championship this year.

Rami needs to come off of the McGrady thing. He isn't T-Mac anymore and never will be and like Hou said, he doesn't fill any needs for this team.

Dude, that last paragraph is a bit basketball Special person...the Bulls are the 2nd best team in the east record wise with 2 of their top 3 players missing games in 90% of the season and with the worst starting shooting guard in the league. I just heard Bill Simmons this past week saying that he is scared the Bulls are going to get Mayo, which would make them contenders...and they could beat Boston because he feels Mayo would reach his potential rather quickly with Rose. However, you feel, after watching a depleted Bulls team beat Orlando that they would NOT be contenders? In the words of Stacey King..."STOP IT!!!"

Well I have heard the Bulls are interested in Casspi, and have been hearing it for a while now. McGrady? Not so much. You think McGrady is one of the better players in the league. What percentile would you put McGrady in?

The more you talk on this subject, the less sense you make. At first you said that the Bulls don't need Curry because they have Watson, but you want McGrady, an inferior, less talented player who can't do much of anything better than Curry at this point in his career? With Watson still on the roster? What sense does that make?

What higher price is Smith? Its February for crying out loud...Smith is a free agent after the season. I really think you are digging a deeper hole for yourself on this issue.

Yeah. I agree. I like McGrady, but this isn't 2005, and he isn't that good. Not anymore.

Not sold on him, but if Thibs could reign him in and he's willing to listen, then bring him in.

I'm probably the ONLY person who thinks we shouldnt make a move. We would overpay for any good upgrade at SG, and it just isnt worth it to make a minor upgrade that hinders our long-term flexibility.

Overpaying and picking up OJ Mayo sounds great, until the CBA comes out with a hard cap and we are effectively screwed on extensions (I know the CBA might not have a hard cap, but there's a possibility of it).

Oh, I don't believe we should overpay either. But I don't think the new CBA is the reason. I cannot see there being a hard cap. The NBA does not want to force players to leave their teams because of cap room. I would guess they will just try to lower salaries and lower the soft cap. Probably greatly reduce flexibility above the cap as well. I actually think it would be better to get a long term solution now because it might be harder to sign a veteran free agent if they reduce flexibility above the cap.

It'd be interesting to see how the CBA plays out. NBA teams will do whatever they can to save money. I just dont know to what extent that'll be attained in the new CBA.
