Vaquez wants a 1 year deal only. Already turned down multi year deals from 2 clubs. I'm all for this more now, depending on price.

They will in the next 2 weeks or so. Vaquez was good in the NL, but sucked with the Yankees.

However, talks between Vaquez and the Marlins are "hot".

Don't want to give up anything to get him, but wouldn't really be mad.

Okay, I will give you that Rothschild probably didn't have everything to do with it. We don't know how much he had to do with it. However, Rothschild's point he pushes through to pitchers is K's. He works with them on Ks. Now, could it be a coincidence that he focuses on K's and the Cubs have amazing K rates? Yeah, it could. However, the writing is right on the wall.

No, it isn't. Your bias is present right there in the bolded part, in your use of "could". The question of whether it is a coincidence is not up for debate, however the questions of 1) whether is Rothschild the cause of noted increases and 2) (this is like the 34896942387th fucking time I've had to explain this to you) whether the increases seen are out of the ordinary in some respect and thus can be viewed as something that would not otherwise be attainable by said pitchers, are all still very much in question. There is no "writing on the wall". There only are un-adjusted numbers that. Don't. Prove. Anything.

Maybe he'll get it someday.
