Rooney Rule is TWO outside candidates.

Is that right?

I always thought it was one. Has this changed recently? Also interesting to note that internal candidates don't count. Learn something new every day...

I have a weird feeling that if Ben Johnson doesn't land with the Bears, he is going back to Detroit.

He seems to have been very calculated with where he wants to end up. And as much as we like to shit on our own team, the Bears have a TON of infrastructure on our offensive side of the ball to be successful - just need an offensive line and a coach who knows what he is doing and it is primed to take off.

Wasting no time? The Jets have been interviewing candidates for almost a week now.
Not ones who are currently coaches.

The Bears could have interviewed Rex Ryan too if they wanted to, but that would be dumb and a waste of time.

He could have an massive brain aneurysm tomorrow and still be sharper than the last 3 Bears coaches.

Well yes. But hopefully we have higher aspirations than being sharper than your typical Bears coach. 😂

Only interviewing one offensive coach in Ben Johnson? I guess Thomas Brown counts as well. All the other interviews are DCs. Typical Bears.
I'm sure we'll be seeing Kliif Kingsbury and Joe Brady's name in there as well and maybe Jon Gruden.

Aaron Glenn produced one of the greatest (and surprise) performances I have ever seen last night.
I'm not high on Glenn for our situation but he has been impressive especially last night and Ben Johnson/J.Gibbs put it on that Minn defense last night.

Glenn is a great candidate, probably not for the Bears though, or any team with a very young QB unless he can bring along a real OC who is going to stay for at least a few years.
