Ugh god, I hate having to listen to LW Holmes talk about baseball. Painful, painful stuff.
Sure but that was Haren at his worst. Sure there is no guarantee that he returns to previous form, though Haren's number were ballooned a bit with a 27 runs in 23 inning stretch while trying to pitch through being hurt. If he is the guy he was last year which is 180 innings of roughly league average starter. That is trading a reliever for a starter. The Cubs made out really well if this deal does happen.
And he was really good with that declining velocity. I get it Theo made the move so it can't be that good. But the Cubs team would be better if this trade goes through, and if Haren returns to anything close to what he was pre-2012 then he becomes a huge trade chip at the deadline.so what? you got a filler that wont give up 8 runs a game....Again I get why the cubs did it or are trying to do it....but he just isnt that good. on paper a reliever for starter is a good deal possibly for the cubs as a starter to fill a hole is harder to get than a reliever but to start stroking theo is a bit premature. again it wasnt just last year, he has been declining in velocity longer than that.

It is nice to see true colors againwow. both of you are idiots. cant read?
Il speak slower for you 2 morons:
1) good trade as a starter is harder to find than a reliever (theo made the right move)
2) at the same time it doesnt make theo "boss" or fap worthy....and like dabs says...."theo did it so it has to be bad and stuffz" actually its quite obvious from responses that its "no matter what theo does its the bestest moveszz everszz"
3) yeah he pitched good with velocity down a couple of years ago, but it doesnt change the trend that his velocity keeps getting worse and that he isnt the same pitcher, add the fact that his innings load since he came in the league is insane all while being now 32....regression much?
again for the idiots....move had to be made....good move to get rid of a reliever for a guy to fill a hole as a starter.
So... Who will be our closer? Dolis? Cabrera?...Vitters?

Christ.... if this is true.... :fap: Way to go, Theo!
Multiple sources have Haren to the Cubs for Carlos Marmol! no other details are known. If these are the only two players in the trade. Theo is a boss.
Speculation is that no done deal since they are waiting for MLB approval on money being sent over. Of course still talking to other teams while they have time to see if anybody offers better than Marmol
Good move? yes. still doesnt change the above sheep like responses.

Yeah we shouldn't be excited about the possibility of increasing the talent on our team. But keep tilting at windmills...Good move? yes. still doesnt change the above sheep like responses.
