Can't seem to view those insta gram vid's, sadly. Great thread though, read the entire thing. Good positives signs if you exclude the O line Tackles...

In the mod forum planning your ban
I'm not going to count out Webb yet even though I want to. The last two days Cutler was throwing picks, now they are TDs. Hopefully Webb makes that jump as well

I doubt this happens also. Just seeing the clip of him planting the d lineman today and the analysis of a strong, athletic player with a man streak says potential star RT. I just put that out there as potentially getting your 5 best on the field. As I said, it was a blue and orange glasses view of this TC.

It's a different skill set between a guard and tackle. Long is a big strong in your face bulldozer and that type of player is more suited to a guard than a tackle. I'm not saying he can't play tackle i just think he is a guard and that's where he will excel.

Don't care, just so he "excel" s at it. I'm tired of mediocre linemen.

Three days is much too soon to write off Webb and say that he is a bust at RT. He last played there his rookie year, so yes he has to readjust to playing the right side. I do expect him to be much better at RT this time around, just give him some time. We will know much better this time next week.

His first year he was really bad.

But I am talking about the last couple of years where he has been totally average.

Webb is not very good but he is an NFL starter and their is a reason why 2 GMs and 2 HCs have had him in the line up.

He has been the whipping boy for a terrible OL for the last coup of years when the truth is he was the best OLmen on the team the last couple of season, it is close between him and Lance.

By the 2nd exhibition game we will not be worrying about Webb as he will adjust back to the right side and to back to being totally average.
If he ends up average that would be great, but to say he has ever been average is just false. PFF ranked him the worst RT in 2010, the worst LT in 2011, and 53rd of 65 in PBE in there latest article late in 2012. Stats aren't everything, but he has never been even close to average. And the argument he was the best lineman is just silly. He absolutely was not as good as LL and everyone else on that line was awful, injured, or old. The least smelly turd does not make a good air freshener.

Thank you, and I agree!!!! Good teams makes decisions and MOVE ON. I wish some fuckin fans would do the same! We've got a ton of great things happening, in this great thread about Bears training camp, and some dooshbag fans want to complain about Carimi? WTF!
Yes, discussing the numerous tweets about Webb's awful day at TC, his possible replacements, and the potentially "oops" trade at his position should be restricted to a thread about TC battles and performance...wait, what thread am I in?

Me too. There is no question in my mind that Stoltz provides the best off season coverage of the Bears-- bar none. And as a member of the "new media" you get the sense that he doesn't have any ulterior motives in his reporting. I can't wait to see the vids he will post of linemen in their one on one drills.

That is actually why I like Jeremy so much as a reporter. He is personable, accessible, thoughtful in his responses. Guy is just a hell of a beat writer.

Webb dominated that rep.

WOW! You are a Web fan. First you make excuses for his poor play and then you exalt him for a great block when he didn't even have anyone to block until the guard passed the rusher on to Web. I guess Web did keep the rusher in front of him for a second.
